A round module opener for use with a round module of cotton disposed within a wrap, including a frame, an unload conveyor assembly that is supported by the frame and moves the round module of cotton in a first direction that is parallel to a longitudinal center axis of the round module opener, a slitter assembly that is secured to the frame and slices through the wrap along its entire length as the round module of cotton moves in the first direction, and a picker assembly including a plurality of projections, the picker assembly being rotatable so that the plurality of projections first pierce a first portion of the wrap and are subsequently withdrawn from the first portion of the wrap, thereby separating the first portion of the wrap from the round cotton module.

Round cotton module opener

A round module opener for use with a round module of cotton including a first cradle movably mounted to a first frame, the first cradle including a first peeler belt that is configured for rotary motion, and a second cradle movably mounted to a second frame, the second cradle including a second peeler belt that it configured for rotary motion. The first cradle and the second cradle are disposed on opposing sides of a feeder bed such that the first cradle and the second cradle can be moved inwardly toward each other and toward a longitudinal centerline of the feeder bed to engage the round module of cotton.

A bagging assembly for use with a bale bagging apparatus is disclosed. The bale bagging apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bale stuffer, and a bale chute. The bagging assembly includes a carriage frame having a first and a second side rail, a pivot end, and a movable end. The pivot end is mounted adjacent the bale chute and the movable end is secured to the frame assembly. A first and a second carriage assembly are movably mounted on the first and the second side rails and each includes an upper and a lower bagger arm that are configured to open simultaneously. A pincher assembly is supported by the upper bagger arms and the lower bagger arms. The pincher assembly is configured to grasp portions of a bale bag, thereby causing the bale bag to open as the upper and lower bagger arms are opened simultaneously.

Bale bagging apparatus

A high production, double lift box baler having a pair of lift box assemblies which rotate between a charging position and a compression position. Each lift box assembly includes a lift box and a displaceable lower platen which has a latched position in which the lower platen forms a floor of the lift box. Each lower platen also has an unlatched position in which the lower platen is independently displaced to rest against a bottom sill during a compression cycle to withstand the compression forces. The lower platens are independently displaceable, so that while one platen is displaced against the bottom sill for compression, the other sill is latched and is utilized as a floor for tramping the fibers during a filling cycle. A latch assembly is provided for unlatching the lower platen at the compression position during a compression cycle, and for latching the lower platen integrally to the lift box for rotation and tramping. A unique bottom sill extends only across a part of a width of the baler and provides open access to the actuators and rotational drive of the baler for servicing.

High production double lift box baler

A shearing apparatus for breaking railroad type rails into small segments with a standard rail section including a base formed from a bottom flange on each side of the head connecting web. The apparatus includes a sequential rail feed mechanism comprised of an inclined vibratable supply table, a driven conveyor and means to move rails from the supply table to the conveyor. The rails are conveyed to an advancing mechanism located adjacent the breaker head assembly. Predetermined lengths of the conveyed rails are fed into the breaker head assembly where the rail is initially clamped. Following clamping, one bottom flange, on one side of the web, is sheared through and the rail is then contacted by a breaker head positioned beyond the shear plane established by the sheared flange. As the breaker head contacts the rail and bends it outwardly away from the sheared flange until it causes the rail to fail in combined shear and bending, the rail segments are ejected from the apparatus and collected for subsequent handling.
