A highly efficient method is provided for preparing secondary aminoisobutylalkoxysilanes by reacting hydridoalkoxysilanes with secondary methallylamines in the presence of a hydrosilation catalyst.

Sulfur-containing organosilicon compounds useful as coupling agents in vulcanizable rubbers to enhance various properties, including low rolling resistance for automobile tires, are prepared. The use of hydrogen sulfide gas and sodium metal alcoholates provides an efficient and economical process.
