A method, system, and medium are provided for identifying terrestrial objects that have changed in a certain manner. One embodiment of the method includes receiving a query that includes one or more inputs, which are related to 1) a first terrestrial object ('first object') and 2) source change-detection information that describes change associated with the first object; applying the query to a dataset that includes indexed information that describes the imagery; based on the one or more inputs, receiving a query result by identifying a set of regions in the dataset that are respectively associated with change information that is similar to that of the source change-detection information; and presenting on a presentation device indications of at least a portion of the identified set of regions.

Identifying geographic areas based on change patterns detected from high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery

A method, system, and medium are provided for presenting aspects of change associated with a geographic area that has been captured by high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery. One embodiment of the method includes receiving a query directed at the geographic area that includes one or more inputs, the query seeking an identification of regions associated with the geographic area that are characterized by aspects of change based on the one or more inputs; applying the query to a dataset of geospatial information that stores imagery associated with the geographic area, wherein the dataset includes information that is sufficient to identify the regions, and wherein the imagery is derived from the high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery, which is characterized by having a resolution of three meters or less per pixel; receiving a first results set that includes a first plurality of keys and corresponding change scores, wherein, (1) each key is useable to identify a certain region, and (2) each change score indicates an amount of change in the certain region from a first state to a second state; and presenting at least a portion of the results set in a viewing application.

Visualizing geographic-area change detected from high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery

A method, system, and medium are provided for detecting change in a geographic area. One embodiment includes receiving a set of remotely sensed imagery that depicts the geographic area, automatically identifying changes in physical features of the geographic area by comparing, without user intervention, the set of remotely sensed imagery to a dataset of previously stored remotely sensed imagery that also depicts the geographic area, and deriving a change-quality measurement associated with the set of remotely sensed imagery, wherein the change-quality measurement quantifies a suitability of comparison of the set of remotely sensed imagery to the previously stored remotely sensed imagery.

Detecting geographic-area change using high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery

A method, system, and medium are provided for revising a first set of search results related to high-resolution satellite imagery. One embodiment of the method includes receiving a query that seeks high-resolution, remotely sensed images of geographic areas that have changed consistent with a given change signature; returning indications of the geographic areas; and presenting a first set of images that corresponds to the indications; presenting a set of feedback of options in connection with each of the set of images, wherein the feedback options include one or more of a more-like-this option and a less-like-this option; such that a second set of images can be identified based on receiving input by way of the feedback options.

Identifying geographic-areas based on change patterns detected from high-resolution, remotely sensed imagery

A standard dual timing integrated circuit contains two independent 555-type timers on a single monolithic chip, each timer section has a terminal pin for connection to external circuitry for supply voltage, control voltage, and has internal circuitry which has terminal pins for connection to external circuitry for reset, trigger, output, discharge, and threshold connections. A multiple resistance-capacitor circuit is connected to the discharge, threshold, trigger, and ground pins of the first timer section with the resistance values being manually selectable between three discrete resistance values, each corresponding to a predetermined sound mode, to provide three separate discharge rates of the capacitor and thus provide at the output pin of the first timer section a voltage waveform of one of three predetermined configurations corresponding to the selected sound mode. Thus, the first timer section acts as a modulator. Wave shaping circuitry comprising a resistance-capacitor circuit having multiple discrete selectable capacitance values which are manually selected with the selection of a sound mode waveform, is coupled between the output terminal of the first modulator timer section and the control terminal of the second timer section. The second timer section is connected as a free running multivibrator and has a speaker connected at its output. Thus, the second timer section is employed as a voltage controlled oscillator with the shaped waveform applied to its control input causing a corresponding frequency at its output and a corresponding audible tone from the speaker.

Multiple mode sound generator

An array of interdigitally related elements are interstitially spaced from one another, with alternate elements in the array connected to a first conductor and the remaining elements in the array connected to a second conductor. A conductive member, such as a metallic ball, is freely movable in two dimensions over the area of the array, electrically coupling and decoupling adjacent elements in the array as it moves. A circuit is connected between the first and second conductors and detects the coupling of and/or decoupling of electrical contact between adjacent elements as the ball moves over the elements, with the frequency of the coupling and/or decoupling being detected to indicate a predetermined motion or absence of motion. The elements may take different configurations for different desired results.
