The invention relates to a method for producing, applying and fixing a multilayer surface coating () on at least one surface () to be coated of a host substrate () in order to produce a host substrate assembly. Starting with a fixative product () and a functional product () based on single-walled or multi-walled graphene, the method consists in successively applying: a layer () of fixative product to the or to each surface () to be coated of the host substrate (); and a layer of the functional product to said fixative layer (). The assembly can be finished with a protective layer deposited directly onto the layer () that contains the functional product. The invention also relates to a host substrate assembly which can be obtained by said method, a heating element, an anti-corrosion and/or anti-fouling/dirt-repelling element and a hydrophobic element each comprising such an assembly.

The invention relates to a composite formed of a zeolite (such as ZSM-5 zeolite, &#x3b2;-zeolite and silicalite) deposited on a rigid support, wherein the rigid support comprises silicon carbide (SiC) with a specific surface area BET of at least 5 m/g. Preferably, the support is a &#x3b2;-SiC foam with a specific area of between 10 and 500 m/g. This composite may be used as a catalyst and/or a catalyst support for chemical reactions in a gas or liquid medium. The invention relates to a method for obtaining synthesis gas by partial catalytic oxidation, consisting in bringing a hydrocarbon in a gaseous state into contact with an oxidizing gas, and therefore possibly a small amount of water vapor, in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one silicon carbide at a temperature of more than 800&#xb0; C. Method for obtaining synthesis gas by partial catalytic oxidation

A molybdenum-loaded crystalline aluminosilicate molecular sieve that exhibits the MFI crystal structure and has a silica-to-alumina ratio of about 50:1 is useful for aromatizing a hydrocarbon feed stream. The crystalline aluminosilicate preferably has an external surface acidity selectively passivated by means of an amorphous silica layer.
