The invention deals with chromogenic media which are suitable for the selective growth and identification of one or more species of yeast. The subject of the invention is the method that enables us to identify and determine the cell count ofandyeasts. Besides, the subjects of invention are also the use of the method in wine and/or food industry and the stocks for conducting the experiment.

A biological material is disclosed for exerting antagonism against the mushroom pathogenbacteria, which contains thePS54 bacterium strain deposited under # NCAIM (P) B 001387 according to the Budapest treaty. The biological material according to the invention is an effective antagonist against the pathogens of mushrooms, in particular oyster mushrooms and/or champignons, in particularand. Furthermore, the invention relates to a composition comprising a culture of the biological material according to the invention, the use of the invention for the protection of mushrooms, and a process for controlling pathogens. The invention further relates to an agent for producing mushrooms, which agent has been contacted with the biological material according to the invention.

A biological material is disclosed for exerting antagonism against vegetable pathogens, which containsR3B mutant strain deposited under # NCAIM (P) B 001389 according to the Budapest Treaty. The biological material according to the invention is an effective antagonist against the pathogens of vegetables, preferably tomato, pepper, lettuce and/or cabbage, in particular against the pathogens selected from the group ofandvegetable pathogen bacteria andandvegetable pathogen fungi. Furthermore, the invention relates to a composition comprising the biological material according to the invention and optionally a copper-containing pesticide and a process for controlling vegetable pathogens, furthermore use of the biological material or composition according to the invention for the protection of vegetables, preferably tomato, pepper, lettuce and/or cabbage.
