A system for operating a driverless utility vehicle in a restricted area, including: a transfer module for transferring control of the utility vehicle at an entrance: from the driver of the utility vehicle to the system, and at an exit: from the system to the driver of the utility vehicle, wherein the restricted area has the entrance, the exit and a predetermined target point; a movement module for autonomously moving the utility vehicle from the entrance to the predetermined target point and from the predetermined target point to the exit; and a performance module for autonomously performing an action on the utility vehicle while the utility vehicle is situated at the predetermined target point, so as to change a state of the utility vehicle by the action. Also described are a related management system, a method, and a computer readable medium.

System and method for operating utility vehicles

A security system is provided for an autonomous vehicle driving on a road. The autonomous vehicle has a sensor unit for collecting sensor information, and a planning unit for generating planning data for the autonomous vehicle. The security system is characterized by a reception module, configured to receive the sensor information and the planning data; a detection module, configured to detect, based on the sensor information, a driving situation of the autonomous vehicle in which one or more objects on the road cause the autonomous vehicle to slow down; an assessment module, configured to assess the driving situation based on the detection of the driving situation, the sensor information, and the planning data, as a potential plunder incident; and a reaction module, configured to execute, in case of the potential plunder incident, an emergency reaction of the autonomous vehicle.

Security system for an autonomous vehicle and method for its operation

An electric system of a vehicle including an electronically controlled braking system. The electric system has a steering angle sensor unit, at least one control module, at least one first inertia sensor and an electronic braking system central control unit EBS ECU. The at least one control module is external to the steering angle sensor unit. The at least one control module is also external to the EBS ECU. At least one of the at least one control module has mounted within it one of the at least one first inertia sensor.

Example embodiments relate to tiltable luminaire joints. One example tiltable joint for a luminaire includes a first joint portion that includes a joint member provided with an outer cylindrical surface section having an axis and opposing bearings aligned with said axis. The outer cylindrical surface section being provided with a first plurality of interengaging surfaces. The tiltable joint also includes a second joint portion that includes a joint housing provided with a pair of axially-aligned receiving surfaces, and an inner cylindrical surface provided with a second plurality of interengaging surfaces configured to interengage the first plurality of interengaging surface. The joint member of the first joint portion is configured for being housed within the joint housing of the second joint portion. Further, the tiltable joint includes first and second shaft portions that extend in alignment with the pair of axially-aligned bearings. Additionally, the tiltable joint includes a fixation means.

A brake system includes a first electric power-supply-unit (EPSU) and a first electronic-brake-control-unit (EBCU). The first EBCU is connected to the first EPSU. Also, the brake system includes a second EPSU and a second EBCU, which is connected to the second EPSU. The brake system further includes a first axle-pressure-modulator (APM) for service-brake-chambers associated with a first vehicle-axle. The brake system includes a second APM for spring-brake-cylinders for a second vehicle-axle. The brake system includes two power-supply-switches (PSS). A first PSS is connected to the first EBCU, the second EBCU and the first APM and configured to connect the first EBCU or the second EBCU to the first APM. A second PSS is connected to the first EBCU, the second EBCU and the second APM and configured to connect the first EBCU or the second EBCU to the second APM.

An apparatus, fitted to a vehicle, for sensing a vehicular environment, includes acquiring with a first sensing circuit at least one first vehicular environment scene data. The first sensing circuit comprises at least one sensor, and is powered by a first power supply. A second sensing circuit is used to acquire at least one second vehicular environment scene data, and it comprises at least one sensor. The second sensing circuit is powered by a second power supply. The at least one first and second vehicular scene data is provided to a processing unit. The processing unit correspondingly determines first and second vehicular control data based on the first and second vehicular scene data. The first and second vehicular control data are each independently useable by a vehicle to automatically perform at least one safety maneuver comprising one or more of: braking; deceleration; movement to a slow lane or hard shoulder.

Apparatus for sensing a vehicular environment when fitted to a vehicle

A system compensates a motion of a vehicle component relative to another vehicle component or ground. One or more sensors are supported by the vehicle component. The system includes a control unit configured to perform the following acts: receiving sensor data from the one or more sensors; detecting the motion of the vehicle component; and determining compensation data to enable a compensation of deviations in sensor data that are caused by the motion.

One example luminaire head including an interconnected interface for an electronic device includes a support layer and a cover layer arranged over the support layer. The support layer includes a plurality of electrical tracks arranged on a surface of the support layer and connectable to a power supply of the luminaire head. The support layer also includes a first electrical connector. The first electrical connector is connected to at least one of the plurality of electrical tracks and is suited for connecting to the electronic device. Further, the support layer includes a second electrical connector. The second electrical connector is directly connected to the first electrical connector via the at least one of the plurality of electrical tracks. An upper surface of the cover layer includes a first opening and at least one retaining means.

A brake system (BS) includes first/second electric-power-supply-units (EPSU), and an electronic-brake-control-unit (EBCU) connected to the first EPSU. The BS includes a first axle-pressure-modulator (APM) for service-brake-chambers for a first vehicle-axle (VA). The first APM is connected to the EBCU. The BS includes a second APM for spring-brake-cylinders for a second VA. The second APM is connected to the EBCU. The BS includes a redundant-brake-pedal-sensor (BPS) connected to the EBCU. The second PM commands pneumatic-control-pressure for the second APM depending on the second CS from the redundant-BPS.

A brake system, for a vehicle, includes a first electric-power-supply-unit (EPSU), and an electronic-brake-control-unit (EBCU) connected to the first EPSU. Furthermore, the brake system includes a first axle-pressure-modulator (APM) for service-brake-chambers associated with a first vehicle-axle. The first APM is connected to the EBCU. The brake system includes a second APM for spring-brake-cylinders associated with a second vehicle-axle. The second APM is connected to the EBCU. The brake system further includes a second EPSU, and an electronic-parking-brake-controller (EPBC). The EPBC is connected to the second EPSU. The EPBC is fluidically connected to the spring-brake-cylinders. The brake system includes a pressure modulator unit (PMU) fluidically connected to the first APM. The PMU is connected to the EPBC, which issues a control-signal for controlling the PMU. The PMU commands pneumatic-control-pressure for the first APM depending on the control-signal from the EPBC.
