Autonomous aerial management as a service

Methods are disclosed for optimizing execution of tasks for users. A processing system including a processor detects a triggering condition for a transport task for transporting a subject from a first location to a second location via usage of an autonomous vehicle, establishes a negotiated task coordination plan between a user and a third party provider for performing the transport task, and executes the negotiated task coordination plan, wherein the executing causes the autonomous vehicle to travel between the first location and the second location for transporting the subject.

Task execution engine and system

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method for providing temporary shared cloud-based storage, where access to the shared storage is time-limited, location-limited and anonymous. The method includes receiving a request for storage accessible to a plurality of user devices. A storage account is initiated in response to the request; a password and a time period are associated with the storage account. User devices obtain access to the storage account using only the password provided and without users' personal credentials; access is also according to location within a geographic area defined in the request. Any of the data items is available to each user device having access to the storage account. Upon expiration of the time period, the storage account is disabled and the data items are deleted. A mechanism for augmenting security features associated with internet of things devices located in home and/or office environments is provided. A method can comprise as a function of retrieved data associated with a device, displaying vulnerability data associated with the device; facilitating downloading of resolution data to the device based on the vulnerability data; facilitating reconfiguring of the device based on the resolution data; and allocating reward data representative of a reward to a user device based on the reconfiguring of the device being determined to have completed.

Virtual reality for security augmentation in home and office environments

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, monitoring network messages at a network edge of a service provider network, wherein the network edge is coupled via a network edge device to a local area network comprising a plurality of network-addressable (IoT) devices, wherein the network edge device is in communication with a service provider network via a transmission medium in which electromagnetic waves comprising the network messages propagate along the transmission medium without requiring an electrical return path. A network-addressable device of the plurality of network-addressable devices is detected to obtain a detected network-addressable device according to the monitoring of the network messages. Information obtained from the detected network-addressable device is evaluated to obtain an evaluation result and a listing of the plurality of network-addressable devices is updated based on the evaluation results. Network security management based on collection and cataloging of network-accessible device information

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device, that includes a processing system including a processor, and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations including: creating an initial block in a blockchain, wherein the initial block includes first information describing an advertisement spot generated by a viewer device; adding second information to the initial block that identifies a purchaser of the advertisement spot; calculating a cryptographic hash for the initial block; and sending a copy of the cryptographic hash to a network element of a communications network, wherein the network element records the copy of the cryptographic hash in a hash ledger. Blockchain solution for an automated advertising marketplace

An authentication system can be operable to receive from a user premises device credentials associated with a user identity, wherein the user premises device can also be operable to monitor and control a premise of the user identity. The authentication system can process the credentials and transmit an authentication verification to an on-line system to enable access to the on-line system by a user equipment of the user identity. The authentication system can be used as a factor (or additional factor) of authentication, for example, to gain sooner access to an on-line system that has locked out a user identity in response to a personal denial of service (PDoS) attack.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a network device that accesses internet protocol addresses associated with a group of end point devices where the network device is a closest network device to the group of end point devices, and transmitting data to another network device responsive to a determination that an internet protocol address associated with the data from an end point device is one of the internet protocol addresses associated with the group of end point devices. Method and apparatus for authentication and identity management of communicating devices

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, a communication system that facilitates generating, by a waveguide system of the communication system based on a first wireless signal, first electromagnetic waves that convey sensor data, where the first electromagnetic waves propagate along a transmission medium to a server, where the transmission medium comprises an external surface, and where the first electromagnetic waves propagate along the transmission medium without requiring an electrical return path; and receiving, by the waveguide system, second electromagnetic waves that convey instruction information, where the second electromagnetic waves propagate along the transmission medium to the waveguide system, where the second electromagnetic waves propagate along the transmission medium without requiring the electrical return path, and wherein the instruction information is generated by the server according to the sensor data. Method and apparatus for electromagnetic wave communications associated with vehicular traffic

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, by a security controller, a first security sequence generated by a network controller of a network and a second security sequence generated by a node of the network. The second security sequence is a security configuration of the node when the second security sequence was generated. The method also includes generating, by the security controller, a third security sequence and detecting, by the security controller, a discrepancy between the first security sequence, the second security sequence, and the third security sequence. In response to detecting the discrepancy, the method further includes determining, by the security controller, that the security configuration of the node has been modified.

In one embodiment, a method includes transmitting, by a node of a network, a first configuration file to a plurality of active nodes of the network and receiving, by the node of the network, a vote from one or more of the plurality of active nodes of the network. Each vote is generated by an active node in response to the active node comparing the first configuration file received from the node to a second configuration file received from a system administrator. The method also includes determining, based on each vote received from each active node, a percentage of the plurality of active nodes of the network that voted to approve the first configuration file. The method further includes determining, by the node of the network, whether to activate the node based on the percentage of the plurality of active nodes that voted to approve the first configuration file.

System and method for activating a network node

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including obtaining a first set of votes from devices that are registered and enabled by a registration system to form a first network communicating with a processing system. The first set of votes relate to performance of a target device and indicate conformance to performance criteria for the first network. The processing system receives a reputation score for the target device from the registration system, and receives a second set of votes regarding target device performance from voting systems over a second network comprising a peer network including the processing system and the voting systems. The first and second sets of votes and the reputation score are aggregated to generate an updated reputation score for the target device. The registration system disables the target device when the reputation score falls below a threshold. Other embodiments are disclosed.
