This application relates to a method of covering a pessary device for relief of female incontinence with an overwrap. More particularly, the present invention relates to methods of conforming the overwrap to the pessary device using a profile seal.

Method of profile heatsealing

A device for carrying out a repitching operation, i.e., for changing the pitch between articles (A) comprised in a flow of moving articles, includes one or more conveying elements () for the articles (A) that are to follow a path of orbital movement about a principal axis (X) between a position of picking-up (T) and a position of release (G) of the articles (A) themselves. The speed of said orbital movement is selectively variable () in the passage between the aforesaid positions of picking-up (T) and of release (G) so as to modify the pitch between the articles (A) carried by the conveying elements (). Said conveying elements () are likewise orientable about a respective axis (X) oriented in a radial direction with respect to the principal axis (X) so as to modify the orientation of the articles (A) in the passage between the position of picking-up (T) and the position of release (G). There is present at least one cam formation (), the cam profile of which follows the path of orbital movement of the conveying elements () about the principal axis (X). The conveying element or each conveying element () is provided with a cam-follower element () that can co-operate in a relationship of following with the aforesaid cam formation () for determining the orientation assumed by the respective conveying element () in the position of picking-up (T) and of release (G), irrespective of the speed of the aforesaid orbital movement.

Described herein is a side panel for sanitary articles that can be worn as pants, such as baby diapers or sanitary towels, with a main body, which can assume a general U-shaped configuration, with end parts arranged on the front and on the back of the body of the user, and with at least one aforesaid side panel for connecting the aforesaid end parts on each side of the user. The side panel has an as a whole tapered pattern starting from a proximal edge to be fixed on the main body of the article and a distal edge carrying a connection formation for closing the article itself around the waistline of the user. The panel has, in connection with the proximal edge and distal edge, two end sides inclined with respect to the general direction of extension of the aforesaid proximal edge and distal edge. The end sides have profiles such that the side panel is juxtaposable without any solution of continuity in a position corresponding to said end sides with two homologous side panels rotated through 180&#xb0; in the general plane of extension of the panel. Each connection formation is extendable in a distal direction beyond the distal edge of the panel.

A device for carrying out a 're-pitching' operation, i.e., an operation for changing the pitch between articles included in a flow of moving articles, includes one or more elements for conveying the articles, which are able to perform an orbital movement about a principal axis between a position for pick-up and a position for release of the articles. The speed of the orbital movement is selectively variable in the passage between the position for pick-up and the position for release. Members are provided for distribution of subatmospheric pressure to the conveying elements to enable them to carry out selectively an action of suction to pick up the articles. The members include a distributor, which can turn about the aforesaid principal axis. Set between the rotating distributor and each conveying element is a respective flexible pipe or hose for transferring the subatmospheric pressure to the conveying element. The flexibility of the pipe enables relative angular orientation between the distributor and the conveying element with respect to the aforesaid principal axis.
