A retention mechanism () for a dispenser for retaining an end plug () of an exchangeable roll of material includes an insertion slot extending between a receiving end () and a seating region () for inserting a bearing pin () of the end plug. The bearing pin has at least a first portion () with a first diameter, and a second portion () with a second diameter smaller than the first diameter. A pin discriminator () is at least at the receiving end and narrows the receiving end so only bearing pins can enter the receiving slot which have a maximum outer diameter in the second portion which equals the second diameter. A rejecting slot () extends from the seating region and is dimensioned so only bearing pins with a predetermined maximum diameter in the first portion which is smaller than the first diameter will enter the rejecting slot.

Retention mechanism in a dispenser and system comprising a retention mechanism and an end plug

A car seat has a base for placement on a vehicle seat and a seat shell attachable to and detachable from the base. A latch mechanism is biased to a latched arrangement attaching the shell to the base. A release actuator is connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism to a released arrangement, detaching the shell from the base permitting its removal from the base. The shell can be optionally adjustable on the base between at least two different recline positions. The latch mechanism in the latched arrangement can then also retain the shell in one of the recline positions. A recline actuator can be connected to the latch mechanism and can move the latch mechanism allowing adjustment of the shell recline position but not permitting removal from the base.

Car seat installation and recline mechanism

A car seat is configured to rest on a vehicle seat and to support a child. The car seat has a shell with a front side, a rear side, a seat back end, a seat bottom end, and a seating surface with a seat back portion and a seat bottom portion. A first contact surface is defined on a part of the car seat facing generally opposite the seat bottom portion. Adapter bodies are carried on the car seat. Each adapter body defines a second contact surface and is movable between a stowed position in which the first contact surface is exposed and positioned to rest on the vehicle seat with the seating surface at a first incline and a deployed position in which second contact surfaces are exposed and positioned to rest on the vehicle seat with the seating surface at a second incline different than the first incline.

Car seat with convertible bottom

A car seat is configured to rest on a seat of a vehicle and to support a child, and the car seat has a shell with a front side and a rear side and a seating surface on the front side. A first contact surface is defined on a part of the car seat facing generally opposite the seating surface. The first contact surface is oriented to support the car seat with the seating surface at a first seat incline. One or more adapter bodies are carried on the car seat and movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The one or more adapter bodies each define a second contact surface. With the adapter bodies in the stowed position, the first contact surface is exposed to rest on the vehicle seat. With the adapter bodies in the deployed position, the one or more second contact surfaces are exposed and oriented to support the car seat with the seating surface at a second seat incline different than the first seat incline.

An infant car seat base assembly has a base section with a top side, a bottom side, an upright base panel on a first end, and first and second openings vertically spaced apart on the upright base panel. A foot is attached to the first end and is slidable along the upright base panel in a direction generally normal to a plane of the bottom side between a first position and a second position. The foot has a foot body and a resilient, flexible leg extending up from the foot body. The flexible leg is exposed on an exterior of the base section and has a back side facing the upright base panel. The foot has a guide leg extending up from the foot body adjacent the flexible leg and positioned behind the upright base panel. A tab protrudes from the back side of the flexible leg and is sized to selectively seat in each of the first and second openings. The flexible leg biases the tab toward the upright base panel to seat in a selected one of the first and second openings when aligned therewith. The flexible leg can be bent outward away from the upright base panel to permit sliding the foot to one of the first or second positions.

Infant car seat base

A reclinable child seat assembly includes a base, a seat movably and detachably coupled to the base, and a recline mechanism to enable the seat to be positioned in different recline positions relative to the base. The recline mechanism includes a recline positioner mounted to the seat, the recline positioner having slots corresponding to the different recline positions, a recline lock movably mounted to the base to releasably engage a desired one of the slots of the recline positioner to position the seat in the corresponding one of the recline positions, and a recline adjustment handle movably mounted to the seat to disengage the recline lock from the desired slot to allow repositioning of the seat relative to the base.
