The present disclosure provides improved packaging detection at self-checkout kiosks by identifying a given bag type for a bag selected at a self-checkout kiosk out of a plurality of bag types available from a bag dispenser associated with the self-checkout kiosk; identifying a weight range for the given bag type; in response to determining that the bag has been moved to a packing area of the self-checkout kiosk, comparing a first weight in the packing area from before the bag was moved to the packing area with a second weight in the packing area that includes the bag; and in response to a difference between the first weight and the second weight falling outside of the weight range, generating a loss prevention alert and pausing a transaction at the self-checkout kiosk.

Packaging detection for self checkout

A self-checkout (SCO) station for a retail store has a reconfigurable bagging section that receives items scanned by a user. The SCO station determines whether the user does or does not require the SCO station to operate in a mode that complies with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If so, the SCO station automatically reconfigures the bagging section to ensure that the user is able to reach all items in the bagging section.

Operating a self-checkout station

A method, computer program product, and system are disclosed for compiling a virtual transaction for a person within an environment having a plurality of items. The method includes acquiring, using at least one visual sensor, first image information including a person. The method further includes identifying the at least one person from the first image information by classifying the person into a class. The method also includes acquiring second image information including the person and an item. The method further includes identifying a behavior of the person relative to the item, and updating, based on the identified behavior, the virtual transaction.

Method and system for associating multiple persons with a virtual transaction in an environment

A pen retention bracket for releasably securing a pen tether retracting reel therein is disclosed. The pen retention bracket includes four surfaces that define a rectangular cavity having four sides and a top opening and a bottom opening. A first protrusion and a second protrusion are disposed upon a first surface and extend from the first surface toward a second surface, a distance between the first protrusion and the second protrusion greater than a height of the pen tether retracting reel. The first surface is responsive to an application of force to the pen tether retracting reel to elastically deform and increase a depth between the second surface and at least one of the first protrusion and the second , thereby releasing the pen tether retracting reel via either of the top opening and the bottom opening.

Pen retention apparatus

A pen retention device including a pen, a tether, a retracting reel in operable communication with the tether, and a bracket releasably securing the retracting reel therein is disclosed. The pen retention bracket includes four surfaces that define a rectangular cavity having four sides and a top and bottom opening. A first protrusion and a second protrusion are disposed upon a first surface and extend from the first surface toward a second surface, a distance between the first protrusion and the second protrusion greater than a height of the pen tether retracting reel. The first surface is responsive to an application of force to the pen tether retracting reel to elastically deform and increase a depth between the second surface and at least one of the first protrusion and the second protrusion, thereby releasing the pen tether retracting reel via either of the top opening and the bottom opening.

An adapter is configured to be installed on an existing cable, extending along a connector of the cable to present a latching surface on a flexible arm of the adapter for engagement with a latching surface within a latching member adjacent a port connector of a device. When these latching surfaces are engaged with one another, the cable connector is held in engagement with the port connector. The flexible arm may then be manually depressed to release the engagement of these latching surfaces. The adapter is installed on the existing cable by placing the cord of the cable between a pair of hooks extending in opposite directions from the adapter, and by then turning the adapter on the cord so that the hooks are brought into position to extend partly around the cord.

A cash drawer having a coin roll opening device for opening a roll of coins quickly, conveniently and safely. The device includes a cash drawer having guides for receiving a coin roll. The cash drawer further includes a receptacle for receiving a blade assembly. The blade assembly having a blade and a blade holder. The blade assembly easily inserted and removed from the receptacle by use of the flexible arms of the blade holder. The blade holder is formed by two identical halves each having a male post, a post slot, a snap post and a snap arm for securing the blade. The blade having notches for receiving the male posts.

Coin roll opening device

An electronic equipment drawer 20 is aligned with an electrical connector in a tunnel in the horizontal and vertical directions with alignment pins and holes. A screw drive 34 and cam 36 mounted on the drawer engages a tunnel wall and controls insertion into the tunnel to provide proper electrical contact and lock the drawer in place in the tunnel. A bus extender card 25 inserted in a connector 26 centrally located on a mother board 21 is supported by surfaces on a bar 28 extending between end walls 24 of the drawer. The end walls 24 include pairs of channels 31 on opposed walls which support feature cards inserted into connectors mounted on the bus extender card 25.

Serviceable data terminal structure

An electronic equipment drawer is aligned with an electrical connector in a tunnel in the horizontal and vertical directions with alignment pins and holes. A screw drive and cam mounted on the drawer engages a surface of an opening in a wall of the tunnel and controls insertion into the tunnel to provide proper electrical contact and lock the drawer in place in the tunnel. Within the drawer a bus extender card inserted in a connector centrally located on a mother board is supported by surfaces on a bar extending between end walls of the drawer. The end walls include pairs of channels on opposed walls which support feature cards inserted into connectors mounted on the bus extender card.

A unique system for packing and distributing electrical signals within an electrical machine is disclosed. Electrical distributing circuit conductors are pre-printed or pre-plated directly onto the inside surface of the machine covers. A pluggable edge connector is provided for interfacing the plated electrical conductors with pluggable electrical devices or electrical cards. The connector is fitted with independently switchable contacts which allow a pluggable electrical device or card to be electrically coupled with a respective pre-plated/pre-printed conductor or a discrete wire conductor. As a result, changes in the distributing system can be made without changing the plated lands pattern on the machine covers.
