An apparatus is provided for a valve actuator assembly comprising an actuator housing, a piston, and a spring. The piston is disposed within the actuator housing. The piston is configured to couple to a valve element, and includes an inner cylindrical section and an outer cylindrical section. The outer cylindrical section of the piston is spaced apart from the inner cylindrical section to define a recess. The piston is further configured to move within the actuator housing in a first direction and a second direction, to thereby move the valve element toward a first position and a second position, respectively. The spring is disposed within the actuator housing, and is configured to supply a bias force that urges the piston to move in the first direction. The spring is at least partially disposed within the recess, and at least partially surrounding the inner cylindrical section.

Reversed actuator with minimal leak potential

An apparatus is provided for a valve assembly comprising a valve body, a valve element, a shaft, an engagement stop, an actuator housing, a manual lockout, and a lock. The valve body includes an inlet port, an outlet port, and a flow passage extending therebetween. The valve element is disposed within the valve body flow passage, and is movable between a closed position and a full-open position. The shaft is coupled to the valve element and extends through the valve body. The engagement stop is coupled to, and extends radially from, the shaft. The actuator housing at least partially surrounds the shaft. The manual lockout is configured, upon receipt of a torque, to selectively engage and disengage the engagement stop. The lock is coupled to the actuator housing, and is movable between a lock position and an unlock position.

Angled poppet valve manual override mechanism

A pressure relief check valve system includes a valve body, a flapper, a magnet, an electromagnet, and a pressure sensor circuit. The flapper is rotationally mounted on the valve body and is movable between a closed position and an open position. The magnet is coupled to the flapper, and the electromagnet is coupled to the valve body. The pressure sensor circuit is adapted to sense one or more fluid pressures and is operable, based on the one or more sensed fluid pressures, to selectively supply or interrupt the electrical current to the electromagnet. The electromagnet is coupled to receive the electrical current and, upon receipt of the electrical current, either magnetically attracts or does not magnetically attract the magnet, to thereby hold the flapper in the closed position or allow flapper rotation to the open position, respectively.
