A device for venting a hose is disclosed. In some embodiments, the device includes a housing having a cylindrical sidewall and an endwall, the sidewall defining an inner housing surface and an outer housing surface, an opening extending through the sidewall, and a hose retention system extending from the inner housing surface.

Vent hose cap

A vehicle having a powertrain control system includes an internal combustion engine configured to generate torque, and a transmission to transfer the torque to at least one driveline component of the vehicle. At least one electronic sensor is configured to output a signal indicative of at least one operating parameter of the vehicle. The powertrain control system further includes a vehicle scenario detection module and an electronic control module. The vehicle scenario detection module determines a current vehicle scenario of the vehicle based on the at least one operating parameter. The electronic control module determines a current vehicle scenario based on the at least one operating parameter, to actively determine an active skid-torque value in real-time based on the current vehicle scenario. The control module further generates a torque limiting control signal that adjusts operation of a powertrain system of the vehicle based on the active skid-torque value.

Driveline input torque control system

A power transfer unit includes an input shaft extending along an input axis and an intermediate drive shaft extending at least partially through the input shaft along the input axis. The power transfer unit further includes a ring gear assembly having a ring gear and a ring gear shaft coupled to the ring gear. The ring gear shaft at least partially surrounds the input shaft and extends along the input axis. The power transfer unit also includes a collar coupled to the input shaft. The collar surrounds the input shaft and is movable relative to the ring gear shaft along the input axis between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When the collar is in the engaged position, the input shaft is coupled to the ring gear shaft. When the collar is in the disengaged position, the input shaft is decoupled from the ring gear shaft.

Power transfer unit

A power transfer unit assembly for transferring torque from a differential carrier to a propeller shaft includes an input shaft configured to be rotatably driven by the transmission differential carrier about a first axis of rotation of the differential carrier. A first bevel gear is engaged with a second bevel gear. The first bevel gear is annular and concentrically surrounds the input shaft. The second bevel gear is configured to rotatably drive the propeller shaft about a second axis of rotation of the propeller shaft that is substantially perpendicular to the first axis of rotation. The power transfer unit assembly has a compound planetary gear set concentric with the first axis of rotation. The compound planetary gear set is configured to transfer torque from the input shaft to the first bevel gear at a reduction ratio. Modular power transfer unit assemblies having common components are disclosed.

Modular power transfer unit assembly for a vehicle

A transmission and power take-off unit assembly is provided including a transmission, a power take-off unit, and an alignment sleeve and seal assembly. The transmission and power take-off housing both include a bearing surface and locating surface that are machined by a tool having two coaxial cutting wheels. The alignment sleeve enables tighter tolerances for improved concentricity between the bearing surface and locating surface.

An adjustable boring bar assembly is provided in which the cutting radius can be altered by predetermined increments simply by releasing and turning the bar within a sleeve of a hydraulic holder. The holder sleeve is slightly eccentrically located relative to the spindle axis, so that turning of the bar effectively changes the working radius of the cutting point. Slots on the holder, arrayed about the sleeve, are located at discrete angular positions to produce the desired radial increments. A pin on the boring bar disengages from one slot and re seats in another when the bar is released, withdrawn, turned, reinserted and re-gripped.
