An attachment that is configured for attachment to an arm of a piece of heavy construction equipment. The attachment is configured to rotate a section of pipe during break-out (i.e. disconnection or disassembly) from another section of pipe and/or make-up (i.e. connection or assembly) with another section of pipe. The attachment is configured to break the joint or torque the joint, unthread or thread pipe, and lift the pipe under the power of the heavy construction equipment.

Attachment for making up or breaking out pipe

This invention is a method of analyzing and preparing electronic text in such a way as to set values for each word in terms of recognizability, comprehensibility, and parts of speech for later emphasis and marking for printing or display on an electronic device. When used on electronic display devices it further employs methods which permit the user to limit eye movement by displaying such text one or a few words at a time. This invention also enhances the ability of small electronic devices to display textual information by providing a method of display which is more suitable for small display areas. The invention is made up of two sections. The first analyzes the text to be displayed and grades each word in such a way as to substantially anticipate the difficulty in understanding each word the reader will have when it subsequently is displayed. The first section then tags each word with several values creating a file which can then be read by the second section which then uses the tags to determine how the word is to be displayed. Emphasis and de-emphasis is provided through length of display, color, size, and opacity. Provision is also made for the inclusion of graphics, videos, and audio.

Method of analysis, abstraction, and delivery of electronic information

A videophone includes a video camera for transducing and digitizing images at a station and connected to a video processor for compressing and encoding the digitized images into video data. The videophone also includes an audio transducer and digitizer connected to an audio processor synchronized with the video processor for compressing and encoding digitized sound. The video and audio processors are connected to a communication controller for formatting and transmitting the video data bundled with the audio data via a standard bidirectional (full duplex) telephone line in the form of a twisted pair. The communication controller can also receive and then unformat and unbundle audio and video data, and the video processor and audio processor can decode and decompress the received video and audio data, and the station further includes a display connected to the video processor for reproducing images and an electroacoustic transducer connected to the audio processor for reproducing sounds transmitted by another station. Rather than format and transmit only delayed or partial changed video data when the image changes significantly, the large amount of changed video data being stored is overwritten when the amount reaches a predetermined level, and new video data corresponding to the present appearance of the image is compressed, encoded, bundled with associated audio data, formatted, and transmitted. The image reproduced at the receiving station therefore jumps ahead to an updated image without intervening blurred images. Audio and video data can also be selectively stored and subsequently played back and/or transmitted to another station.

Videophone for simultaneous audio and video communication via a standard
