Examples disclosed herein relate to a device including a frame with a transparent panel. In examples, the device includes a frame defining an opening of a scanner sub-assembly, the frame including a first side and a second side in contact with the first side; and a transparent panel coupled to the frame to cover the opening, a first side of the transparent panel disposed to be substantially planar with a first side of the frame, and a second side of the transparent panel disposed to be substantially planar with the second side of the frame.

A system and method for flipping a media sheet. The novel system () includes a first mechanism () for receiving and holding a media sheet () and a second mechanism () for rotating the first mechanism () about an axis parallel to a transverse axis of the media sheet (). In an illustrative embodiment, the first mechanism () is comprised of a predetermined number of slots (), each slot () adapted to receive and hold a media sheet (). Inversion of a media sheet () is accomplished by inputting a sheet () with a leading edge and a trailing edge into a slot at an input position (), rotating the first mechanism () until the slot is at an output position (), and outputting the sheet () with the former trailing edge now leading.

This invention relates to a duplexer, comprising; a media input nip, an auxiliary roller nip located downstream of the media input nip such that the auxiliary roller nip comprises an auxiliary drive roller that exhibits slippage so that the auxiliary roller nip maintains constant contact with a sheet of media to be duplexed, a backstop located downstream from the auxiliary roller nip, and a media output nip located adjacent to the auxiliary roller nip.

An intermediate transfer member is disengaged from an impression drum. Color layers are applied to the intermediate transfer member. A sheet media is transported between the intermediate transfer member and the impression drum while the intermediate transfer member and the impression drum are disengaged. The intermediate transfer member is engaged with the impression drum. Another sheet media is transported between the intermediate transfer member and the impression drum. The color layers are transferred from the intermediate transfer member onto the sheet media.

In one embodiment, an image forming device is provided that includes a media path configured to carry print media through the image forming device, an alignment mechanism including a plurality of alignment walls, and an image forming mechanism configured to form an image on the aligned print media received from the alignment mechanism. The alignment mechanism can be dynamically configurable to align the print media against a selected alignment wall from the plurality of alignment walls as the print media is carried along the media path.
