A wellhead assembly with an external test port for testing a primary seal at an interface of a wellhead and a base. The assembly includes unique architecture with a secondary seal provided adjacent the primary. In this manner, testing of the primary seal from an external location may proceed without concern over a false indication of primary seal failure. That is, for circumstances where a more interior side of the seal fails under pressure testing even though an outer face of the seal might remain in sealing engagement, the secondary seal would ensure that the outer sealing engagement is detected. As a result, a practical manner of testing the wellhead seal from an external location without the need of plugging the wellbore is provided.

Wellhead assembly and test sealing architecture

A system includes a dispensing device having a material chamber to store an oilfield material and to fluidly couple to a wellhead, a plurality of flow control devices to control a flow of the oilfield material via the material chamber, a plurality of sensors to measure one or more properties related to the dispensing device, and a control system communicatively coupled to the dispensing device. The control system opens a first flow control device to fill the material chamber with the oilfield material, monitors a condition associated with the material chamber based on the properties measured via the plurality of sensors, opens a second flow control device to provide a high pressure fluid into the material chamber when the condition is present, and open a third flow control device, where the third flow control device fluidly couples the material chamber to the wellhead.

Apparatus and method of disbursing materials into a wellbore

A hydraulic accumulator system is provided to remove the motors or engines from the red zone while maintaining sufficient capacity within the red zone to quickly close the designated blowout preventer or other gate valves. Additionally, a single point is provided outside of the red zone to charge the local storage units or to open or close the designated blowout preventer or other gate valves when time is not a critical consideration.

Hydraulic accumulator system

A rotary multiport greasing valve having an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve within the outer sleeve. The outer sleeve has at least one inlet port and at least 2 outlet ports. The inner sleeve has an inlet port, a central passageway, and an outlet port. The inner sleeves inlet port is fluidly connected to the outer sleeve's inlet port. The inner sleeve rotates within the outer sleeve so that the inner sleeves outlet port is circumferentially aligned with a selected outer sleeve outlet port creating a fluid pathway from the outer sleeve inlet port into the inner sleeve's inlet port through the central passageway through the inner sleeve's outlet port and finally through the outer sleeves outlet port to create an open flowpath. In certain instances, the inner sleeve inlet port is longitudinally shifted so as not to align with any portion of an outlet sleeve outlet port.

Rotary multi-port greasing valve

A check valve bleed assembly eliminates the requirement for a person to enter the red zone when bleeding the grease out of a gate or other valve. A gas or other fluid is provided to the check valve bleed assembly. The gas or other fluid acts upon the surface driving a pin into the associated check valve with sufficient force to overcome the resistance of the object sitting on a seat and moves the object off of the seat. The force is maintained as long as is necessary. Usually, the check valve is held open until the gate transitions into the gate's associated gate recess thereby displacing the grease within the gate recess through the check valve, into the check valve bleed assembly, and finally to a waste collection tube. In some embodiments a gate valve greasing access port is included in the check valve bleed assembly such that grease may be injected into the check valve bleed assembly.

Grease pressure relief system

An isolation tool is provided that includes an upper elastomer, a lower elastomer. The isolation tool when set provides a circumferential flow path between the elastomers. The isolation tool also includes a longitudinal flow path from above the isolation tool to below the isolation tool. The longitudinal flowpath is preferably sufficiently linear that a solid tool may be passed through the longitudinal flowpath from above the isolation tool to below the isolation tool.

Isolation tool

A wellhead hanger assembly is provided. In one embodiment, a system includes a wellhead hanger, an inner sleeve coupled to the wellhead hanger, a running tool coupled to the inner sleeve, and an outer sleeve coupled to the running tool. The outer sleeve may be positioned to transmit torque from the running tool to the wellhead hanger, and the wellhead hanger may be in castellated engagement with the outer sleeve via a set of castellations and mating slots. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

Rotating hanger assemblies and methods

A system to provide at least two circumferential metal to metal seals between coaxial tubulars. Where a first tubular includes a circumferential shoulder having a circumferential first metal seal and a circumferential second metal seal. A second tubular has a circumferential shoulder that matches and abuts the first tubular circumferential shoulder. Each metal seal is of a material having a higher yield strength than the second tubular shoulder such that the first metal seal and the second metal seal will penetrate the material of the second tubular shoulder thereby providing a seal. Additionally a test port is provided from the exterior of the exterior tubular to a point on either the first or second tubular between the first and second metal seals.

Metal to metal vee seal

An inwardly biased tubing hanger is provided that allows for continued turns in the same direction to both lock the tubing hanger in place within the well as well as release the running tool from the tubing hanger. An energizing sleeve and running tool each having left hand threads is provided where a torque ring between the energizing sleeve and running tool allows the running tool to be turn in the right hand direction until sufficient torque is provided to the torque sleeve to release the running tool from the energizing sleeve. With the running tool attached to the energizing sleeve the energizing sleeve provides sufficient force, provided the torque limit of the torque sleeve is not been reached, to drive the inwardly biased torque ring radially outward.

Inward biased tubing hanger

A technique enables maintenance of sufficient clearance between a wellhead and, for example, a mobile rig. The technique facilitates support of a cable, e.g. an antenna suspension cable, at the wellhead without detrimentally affecting the desired clearance. According to an embodiment, a flange system is used in combination with a cable clamp assembly at a wellhead. The flange system may comprise a flange having a connector portion configured for coupling with the wellhead. The flange also comprises a cylinder portion coupled to the connector portion such that the cylinder portion extends into a corresponding bore of the wellhead. The cable clamp assembly is configured to clamp around and support a cable extending down through the wellhead. The cable clamp assembly is supported within the cylinder portion of the flange such that the cable clamp assembly is at least partially disposed within the wellhead.

Flange system

A technique facilitates performance of well operations. According to an embodiment, the technique employs a modular assembly configured for coupling with a wellhead assembly. The modular assembly may have a production subassembly and a fracturing subassembly. By way of example, the production subassembly may comprise a connection block positioned for coupling to the wellhead assembly, a production outlet fluidly connected to the connection block, and a valve between the connection block and the production outlet. Additionally, the fracturing subassembly may be releasably coupled to the production subassembly. According to an embodiment, the fracturing subassembly comprises an inlet for receiving fracturing fluids, an outlet coupled to the connection block, and a bore between the inlet and the outlet for communicating a fracturing fluid to a well.

Method and apparatus for fracking and producing a well

A rotating hanger running tool is provided allowing torque to be transmitted to a sleeve and then the casing by a set of directionally and rotationally biased dogs while bypassing a right-hand thread engaging the running tool to the casing. Upon rotating the tool in the opposite direction torque is transmitted to the right-hand thread causing the running tool and the casing to disengage.

A gate valve seat seal includes a two-piece seat arranged so that an inner seat moves within an outer piece. The inner seat is moved by a flange where as the flange moves radially inwards the inner seat is moved axially to seal the gate. As the flange moves radially outwards the inner seat is moved axially out of sealing contact with the gate.
