A vehicle seat recliner and folding latch assembly is provided. The assembly generally includes a lower quadrant disk, a slide pin sub-assembly and a recliner disk. The slide pin sub-assembly is supported on the lower quadrant disk for pivotal displacement between a first position and a second position. The recliner disk is supported for pivotal displacement on the slide-pin sub-assembly. The recliner disk includes an engagement edge engaging the slide pin sub-assembly. The engagement edge is adapted to lock the slide pin sub-assembly in the first and second positions.

A constant engagement infinite recliner adapted for use with a hinge assembly such as in a vehicle seat is disclosed that is operable to prevent relative rotation between first and second hinge members when the locking assembly is in its neutral mode, to allow relative rotation of the hinge members in a first direction and prevent rotation in a second direction when the locking assembly is in a first adjusting mode, and to allow relative rotation in a second direction yet prevent rotation in the first direction when the locking assembly is operated in a second adjusting mode.

A transmission apparatus for permitting a seat occupant to selectively and remotely adjust distinct comfort features of a dual-function comfort mechanism corporated into a seating assembly. The transmission apparatus has a dual-positioned control device for defining a first mode position permitting selective actuation of a first cable assembly for causing corresponding adjustment of a first comfort feature. The transmission apparatus further defines a second mode position permitting selective actuation of a second cable assembly for independently adjusting a second comfort feature. The dual-position control device is movably supported within the transmission apparatus and is configured and arranged to be positively located and retained in either of the first or second mode positions for eliminating any lost motion therebetween.
