A shallow water anchor and related methods are provided. The shallow water anchor includes a four-bar linkage and a hydraulic actuator for actuating the four-bar linkage. An anchoring element is connected to the four-bar linkage. A hydraulic control arrangement operates the hydraulic actuator to transition the hydraulic actuator between stowed and deployed positions and vice versa. The shallow water anchor can incorporate a controller which monitors a current limit, a pressure limit, or both to perform a variety of anchoring functions.

A universal mounting bracket for outboard marine equipment is provided. The universal mounting bracket includes a first member mounted to one end of an arm, and a second member mounted to the other end of the arm. The first and second members mate with the arm to define respective first and second adjustment axes. The arm is adjustable relative to the first member about the first axis. The second member is adjustable relative to the arm about the second axis. Adjustment about the first and second axes allows a user to govern the distance of marine equipment mounted to the second coupling relative to a watercraft.

A trolling motor is provided. The trolling motor includes a base assembly with a steering module mounted to the base assembly. The steering module includes an internal drive arrangement for providing an output torque. The steering module also includes a trim module rotatably mounted to an upper portion of the steering module. A motor shaft assembly including a motor shaft, a head unit attached to an upper end of the motor shaft, and a motor power unit attached to a lower end of the motor shaft is also provided. The motor shaft extends through the base assembly, steering module, and trim module. A torque transfer arrangement is mounted between the trim module and the motor shaft of the motor shaft assembly for transferring the output torque provided by the steering module to the motor shaft to rotate the motor shaft assembly about a rotational steering axis.

Mounting bracket for marine equipment

A mount for securing a trolling motor to a watercraft has a base, a main arm, a motor coupling, and a linkage. The motor coupling is configured to rotatably retain the trolling motor. The main arm is pivotally coupled to the base. The linkage is pivotally coupled with the base and the main arm and extends within the main arm to contact the motor coupling for actuating rotation of the motor coupling between a first position when the main arm is in a stowed position, and a second position when the main arm is in a deployed position.
