A duplex coating scheme and associated method of formation, which includes a siloxane based soft coating and a plasma based SiOxCy hard coating used in combination to improve the durability of acrylic substrates used in aircraft window applications.

Durable transparent coatings for aircraft passenger windows

A window assembly is provided to prevent the migration of the window seal. The window assembly includes an outer window pane, an inner window pane and a seal. The outer window pane having a geometric feature configured to become parallel relative to another structure while the outer window pane rotates from a first position to a second position. The window assembly may further include a stiffening ring and a clamping ring which act to further secure the window seal in the desired position.

Aircraft window assembly

A device that alters the breather hole configuration currently being employed in aircraft window assemblies. The device provides a means to allow slow moving air to pass and breathe through the breather hole, while stopping or significantly blocking non-steady air pulses from passing through. The device uses a combination of the cross-section and length of the air path that determines the effectiveness of the particular device to dampen out any unsteady airflow pulses.
