A fiber optic termination box includes a planar back section, outer walls, an exterior cable port formed in an outer wall, and a bend control structure. The bend control structure includes first and second curved planar sections that extend away from the from the planar back section, and first and second planar tabs that attach respectively to top edges of the first and second curved planar sections. The first curved planar section includes a first lower edge side, and a first bend that towards the second curved planar section. The second curved planar section includes a second lower edge side, and a second bend that curves towards the first curved planar section. The first planar tab extends in an opposite direction as the first bend. The second planar tab extends in an opposite direction as the second bend.

Fiber ribbon storage box

A telecommunications box includes a back panel, outer sidewalls that adjoin the back panel and form an enclosed loop around an interior volume, and a bulkhead that divides the interior volume into first and second cable storage regions. The bulkhead includes a generally planar lower panel that is fixedly attached to the back panel, a generally planar upper panel having an opening that is dimensioned to receive one or more standardized fiber optic connectors, and a connection mechanism that is configured to permit the upper panel to be positioned in a first position and a second position. The first and second positions are different angular orientations of the upper panel relative to the back panel. The connection mechanism mechanically couples an upper edge side of the lower panel with a lower edge side of the upper panel in both of the first and second positions.

A fiber optic cable splice storage assembly includes a termination box including first and second curve shaped bend controls disposed in an upper half of the termination box. The first and second curve shaped bend controls face each other and are detached from one another. An exterior cable port is disposed at a lower side of the termination box and includes an opening that is dimensioned to allow a terminating end of a fiber optic cable to be fed into the termination box. A splice retention cradle frame is disposed between the first and second curve shaped bend controls in the top half of the termination box. A splice retention cradle has splice retention features that are dimensioned to accommodate a splice covering for fiber optic cable. The splice retention cradle frame is dimensioned such that the splice retention cradle may snap-in securely to the splice retention cradle frame.

Optical fiber ribbon storage

A high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) plug includes a plug body section including a rigid outer shell that includes a roof section, a floor section, and a front-facing side. A male HDMI connector shell is secured to the rigid outer shell. A retention clamp is disposed within the plug body section and the male HDMI connector shell. The retention clamp includes an anchor, a flexing arm, and a tooth disposed at an end of the flexing arm. The anchor is vertically stabilized by a first interior liner that physically couples an upward-facing surface of the anchor to the roof section, and a second interior liner that physically couples a downward-facing surface of the anchor to the floor section.

A fiber demarcation box includes a rear panel extending along a plane in height and width directions that are perpendicular to one another. Outer sidewalls extend away from a perimeter of the rear panel in a depth direction that is perpendicular to the height and width directions. A bulkhead that adjoins the rear panel and the outer sidewallsextends between opposite facing ones of the outer sidewalls in the height direction so as to divide the fiber demarcation box into first and second interior volumes. A cable plane divider in the first interior volume adjacent to the bulkhead includes a first planar section that extends away from the bulkhead in the width direction and is spaced apart from the rear panel in the depth direction.

A device for retaining a plurality of fiber tubes includes a bottom side, a top side, and outer sidewalls extending between the top and bottom sides. First and second groups of fiber tube receptacles in the top side and extend between first and second opposite facing outer sidewalls. First, second and third anchor points of the device each have a pair of fastener perforations extending through the top and bottom sides. First and second anchor points are arranged outside of the first and second groups of fiber tube receptacles. The third anchor point is arranged between the first and second groups. Each of the fiber tube receptacles has a first diameter in outer longitudinal regions and a second diameter in a central longitudinal region, the central longitudinal region being disposed between the outer regions. The first diameter is greater than the second diameter.

Plate system for securing loose fiber tubes

A fiber optic cable is attached to a termination box and exposed ribbon fiber segments are accessible. Fan-out fiber optic cables are attached to the termination box and exposed ribbon fiber segments are accessible. The exposed ribbon fiber segments from the fiber optic cable and the fan-out fiber optic cables are spliced and the splice is covered. The spliced ribbon fiber segments and the splice covering form a continuous length of exposed ribbon fiber. The splice covering is secured to a splice retention cradle. The splice retention cradle is rotated so that the exposed ribbon fiber crosses itself. The splice retention cradle is secured to the termination box with a double loop of exposed ribbon fiber remaining. The double loop is flipped to cross itself and the crossed double loop is folded to form a quadruple loop. The quadruple loop is secured to the termination box, using routing clips.

A cabling bridge includes a planar platform section that is sized to be placed within a fiber optic termination box, an opening centrally located in the planar platform section, and separation features extending away from a bottom-side of the planar platform section. The separation features are configured to separate the planar platform section from a planar back section of the fiber optic termination box. The cabling bridge further includes a pair of protrusions extending from the planar platform section into the opening and towards one another so as to at least partially divide the opening into first and second wider regions, with a narrower region of the opening being arranged between the pair of protrusions. The opening's perimeter includes semi-circular boundaries transitioning between the protrusions and edge sides of the planar platform section that are opposite from the protrusions.

A shelf includes a receptacle having first and second outer sidewalls, a rear sidewall extending between the sidewalls, a pair of tracks extending along lower edge sides of the sidewalls, and a roof extending between upper edge sides of the sidewalls. The roof includes a permanent section and a removable front access panel. The shelf further includes a drawer, having a floor, two side-rails extending along opposite edge sides of the floor, and a front panel extending away from a front edge side of the floor. The receptacle is configured to slidably receive the drawer with the tracks being engaged with the side-rails. The removable front access panel includes a pair of slats configured to engage with the permanent section of the roof and a pair of tabs configured to fixedly attach the removable front access panel to the first and second outer sidewalls of the receptacle.

A bracket for mounting multiple fiber optic cables to a termination box includes a first substantially planar portion having one or more fastener perforations, a second substantially planar portion forming a first corner with the first substantially planar portion, and a third substantially planar portion forming a second corner with the second substantially planar portion, a protrusion of the first and second planar portions at the first corner, and a notch in the second planar portion between the first and second corners. The bracket includes a first tether attachment point having first and second recessed edges of the first and second planar portions and a second tether attachment point having a third recessed edge in the notch and a fourth recessed edge of the third planar portion. The first and second tether attachment points are configured to receive first and second tethers wrapped around the first and second corners, respectively.

Bracket for securing multiple fiber optic cables to a termination box

A connection box includes a planar back section, outer sidewalls adjoining the planar back section with front edges being spaced apart from the back section in a depth direction that is perpendicular to the back section. A front door of the connection box is configured to be fixedly attached to the front edges so as to enclose an interior space of the connection box. The connection box further includes a cabling bridge arranged within the interior space. The cabling bridge includes a planar platform section that divides the interior space into first and second interior volumes, an opening in the platform section providing a conduit in the depth direction between the first and second interior volumes, and a protective collar arranged along a portion of the opening's perimeter. The protective collar extends from the platform section and towards the front edges in the depth direction.

A grommet for use with a fiber optic enclosure having an opening adapted to receive the grommet so as to provide a substantially sealed passage for one or more fiber optic cables passing through the grommet and the opening. The grommet comprises a U-shaped central portion defining an inner face and a first portion of an outer face of the grommet, where the inner face and outer face are separated by a first thickness. The U-shaped central portion further includes a thinned, penetrable region at or near a center area of the U-shaped central portion and forming part of the first portion of the outer face of the grommet, the thinned, penetrable region having a second thickness substantially smaller than the first thickness.

A conduit for passing fiber optic cables through a fiber optic shelf includes a floor section and two sidewalls joining opposing sides of the floor extending towards a top of the conduit. The sidewalls and floor form a u-shaped enclosure having an opening at the top. A fastening anchor having a first tab joins the floor and extends away from the top perpendicular to the floor. A fastener perforation on the first tab is dimensioned to receive a fastener for affixing a fiber optic cassette to a fiber optic shelf. An engagement anchor joins the floor at an opposite end from the fastening anchor and extends away from the top. A protrusion on the engagement anchor extends towards the first tab so as to engage a fastener perforation of a mounting rail in the fiber optic shelf and secure the conduit to the mounting rail.

A modular assembly for supporting fiber optic splices includes a tray, cradle, and splice holder. A splice holder is mounted to the first face of the cradle base and defines a plurality of fiber optic splice slots positioned over the depression. The splice holder has parallel upright members extending from a splice holder base to define the slots between the members. The members have internal sidewalls incorporating at least one pair of grooves defining passages in which fiber splices fit. The passages have a tapered shape to accommodate varying sizes of fiber splices, and the holder utilizes alternating orientations for the passages to flexibly fit fiber splices therein. The members define an internal cavity with thinned end walls and a bubble formation at a face of the member that add to the flexibility of the members.

Holders for optical fiber splice sleeves and passive optical components

Enclosures for supporting fiber optic hardware or managing fiber optic cables are disclosed. An example enclosure includes a bulkhead panel extending outward from and extending across a surface of the enclosure. The bulkhead panel includes at least two mounting flange portions rigidly attached to or integrally formed with the floor, each mounting flange comprising openings adapted to receive a bulkhead adapter plate fastener for securing a bulkhead adapter plate. The bulkhead further includes a knock-out panel portion interposed between and integrally formed with two of the mounting flange portions. This knock-out panel portion is joined to (i) the surface via one or more frangible web members, or (ii) to each of the two mounting flange portions with one or more frangible web members, or (iii) both, where the one or more frangible web members are dimensioned to permit removal of the knock-out panel portion by an installer-supplied force or blow.
