An insulator for an electric fence having at least one wire is described. The insulator includes a body having a first end and a second end, a post connector portion at the first end of the body for connecting the insulator to a fence post, a wire attachment portion at the second end of the body, and at least one shield surrounding and extending outwardly from the body at a position away from the connector portion towards the second end, the shield including lateral portions on either side of the body. The lateral portions of the shield angle away from the second end of the body towards the first end of the body, such that when installed a straight section of the wire cannot bear against respective edges of both lateral portions simultaneously, and pass along their entire lengths, without contacting the fence post.

A strainer for straining a length of material, the strainer including a tensioning device configured to tension a length of material between the strainer and an object, characterised in that the strainer includes a conductive component configured to contact the length of the material when held by the tensioning device, and wherein the conductive component includes an attachment portion for an external conductive link to the strainer. This invention also relates to a security system and its method of preparation using the strainer as described herein.

A wire clamp is provided, having a body through which an aperture extends. An opening extending along a side of the body intersects with the aperture along its length. The wire clamp also includes a securing device configured to extend into the aperture.

This invention relates to a mounting bracket including a body configured to engage with at least a part of a structure, the body includes an aperture for a fastener; a securing mechanism to secure the bracket to the structure; the securing mechanism includes a first and second fastener, the fasteners configured to engage with each other, the second fastener also engages with a second aperture of the body, the second fastener and second aperture includes a complementary guide and track in the form of a co-operating helical screw thread.

Line clamp

A wire fence accessory is provided including a connector configured to secure the accessory to a support post of a wire fence system; and a tension sensor configured to measure tension in a wire connected to the accessory and output a signal indicative of the tension, wherein the accessory includes an indicator configured to output, at the accessory, an indication of the tension in the wire according to the signal output by the tension sensor.

A connector for an insulator to be connected to a support member is disclosed. In one embodiment, the connector includes a plurality of divergent arms. This connector may include a main body, and at least two side wings extending from the main body where each the side wing is configured to engage with at least one of the divergent arms of the support member. The connector may further include at least one strap engagement element configured to engage at least one strap to secure the connector to the support member.
