A hose fitting includes a fitting body, having an inlet opening, an expansion opening, and an outlet opening. An expansion disc is coupled with the expansion opening and is formed from a deformably resilient material. A portion of the expansion disc expands outwardly from the fitting body, when pressure within the fitting body increases, increasing a volume of the fitting body. The expansion disc contracts, as the pressure within the fitting body reduces. The expansion disc may be removably coupled with the expansion opening using an expansion nut, having an open center portion.

Frost resistant hose fitting

A full flow hose fitting includes a fitting end, having an elongated stem with a barbed external surface and a retaining collar, having a barbed internal surface. An internal diameter of the elongated stem approximates an internal diameter of a hose to be attached to the fitting. An inner diameter of the retaining collar is larger than an outer diameter of the elongated stem, defining a retention space to secure an end of the hose when it is disposed between the elongated stem and the retaining collar. The fitting is formed from an assembly process that pushes fittings into the end of the hose rather than using an internal or external crimped ferrule to secure them.

Full flow hose fitting

A spray nozzle comprising a fitting that includes a connector, an elongate cylindrical portion extending from the connector, and a bore formed longitudinally through the fitting. A flexible tube is disposed in the bore. The nozzle includes a sleeve that includes an inlet opening configured to slideably receive the cylindrical portion. The sleeve includes a converging outlet operative to selectively deform an end portion of the tube when the sleeve is urged longitudinally toward the connector.

Spray nozzle attachment and methods therefor

A swivel connector includes a rotor that is rotatably coupled with a housing stem. In some embodiments a bearing cup is rotatably coupled at one end with an exterior surface of the rotor and anchored at an opposite end with the housing stem. An O-ring seal is positioned between the housing stem and the exterior surface of the rotor. In other embodiments, the bearing cup is rotatably coupled at one end with an exterior surface of the housing stem and anchored at an opposite end with the rotor. In such embodiments an O-ring seal is positioned between the rotor and the exterior surface of the housing stem. A bearing assembly residing within a raceway that is defined by flat surfaces on each of: the rotor, the housing stem, and an interior bearing wall within the bearing cup.

Swivel connector for a fluid handling system

An adjustable sprayer comprising a fitting that includes a connector portion, an elongate cylindrical portion extending from the connector portion, and a bore formed longitudinally through the fitting. The sprayer includes a nozzle having a sleeve portion configured to receive the fitting's cylindrical portion whereby the nozzle is moveable, longitudinally, along the cylindrical portion between first and second spray positions. Movement of the nozzle into the first position permits a full diameter spray pattern through a water breaker. In the second position, fluid flow is restricted to a reduced diameter spray pattern through the water breaker.

Adjustable sprayer

A spray gun attachment is provided for fluid supply lines in a fluid handling system. A fluid input portion of a gun body is coupled wife a swivel connector, which includes a rotor that is rotatably coupled with a housing stem. In various embodiments, a bearing cup is rotatably coupled at one end with an exterior surface of the housing stem and anchored at an opposite end with the rotor. An O-ring seal is positioned between the rotor and the exterior surface of the housing stem. A bearing assembly residing within a raceway that is defined by flat surfaces on each of: the rotor, the housing stem, and ah interior bearing wall within the bearing cup.

Spray gun attachment for a fluid handling system

An adjustable sprayer comprising a fitting that includes a connector portion, an elongate cylindrical portion extending from the connector portion, and a bore formed longitudinally through the fitting. The sprayer includes a nozzle having a sleeve portion configured to receive the fitting's cylindrical portion whereby the nozzle is moveable, longitudinally, along the cylindrical portion between first and second spray positions. The nozzle includes a primary outlet and at least one secondary outlet radially spaced from the primary outlet. The cylindrical portion is in fluid communication with only the primary outlet when the nozzle is in the first spray position, and the cylindrical portion is in fluid communication with both the primary and secondary outlets when the nozzle is in the second spray position.

A reel assembly is provided with a hub and opposing flanges that may be disassembled into at least two primary components that may be at least partially nested with one another for compact storage and transport. A stepped or tapered axle is axially received by the hub from only one direction to promote ease of assembly. A mounting plate secures to one end of the axle for mounting the reel assembly to any generally planar surface. A braking system is provided that simply permits free rotational movement of the reel one direction and a drag brake in the opposite direction. A swivel cap of unitized design incorporates retention in the axial and linear directions simultaneously.

Reel assembly

A reel assembly is provided that rotatably couples a hub to a support, such that the hub is generally, vertically positioned. A frame is coupled with the support so that the frame may rotate about a generally vertical axis, independently of the hub and the support. A level-wind system is coupled with the frame so that the level-wind may reciprocally, vertically move a flexible line as the hub is rotated. A cover assembly may be provided to substantially enclose the hub while permitting the hub to freely rotate within the cover. A distal end of the support may be coupled with a nearly limitless number of different bases for portable and permanently mounted uses.

Vertically wound reel assembly

A fluid handling system is disclosed having a swivel for connecting a stationary fluid source line to a fluid service line that is wound upon a reel. A rotor cap secures the fluid source line and a rotor within the swivel in position, allowing a housing within the swivel to freely rotate with the fluid service line and reel. The swivel is coupled to the fluid source line using a crimping ferrule to eliminate the necessity of predisposing mating components on the fluid source line. The swivel is further provided with seals that reduce the incidence of bunching and tear due to the reduction in drag imposed on the seals.

A rotary union assembly includes a rotor with a housing rotatably mounted on a forward end thereof, the rotor being selectively releasably mounted in one end of a tubular support member. The rotor includes a socket extending radially from a central shaft and a spring loaded plunger within the socket having a pin cooperable with a hole in the tubular member side wall to releasably secure the rotor in position in the tubular member. A hose barb on the rearward end of the rotor shaft permits easy installation of a resilient, flexible hose on the rotor.
