A fast-rope system for use with a rotary aircraft includes a tubular housing attached to an interior portion of a cabin and adjacent to an upper portion of an exit door opening of the rotary aircraft and a fast-rope frame structure rotatably coupled to the tubular housing. The fast-rope frame structure includes a cylindrical pipe contained partially within the tubular housing and operable to rotate within the tubular housing and a cantilever beam structure fixedly connected to the cylindrical pipe and configured to have a fast rope attached thereto and move in response to rotation of the cylindrical pipe within the tubular housing.

An automatically adjusting comfort method includes measuring pressure applied by a user via a pressure-sensor array, determining a pressure profile based on measurements from the pressure-sensor array, comparing the pressure profile to a first limit, determining a cumulative pressure profile over a predetermined duration, comparing the cumulative pressure profile to a second limit, and adjusting one or more of a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile for increased comfort of the user when the pressure profile exceeds the first limit or the second limit. An automatically adjusting comfort system includes a pressure-sensor array communicatively coupled to a controller for determining a cumulative pressure profile over time, and a plurality of adjusting mechanisms configured to alter the pressure profile to increase a user's comfort, wherein the controller automatically adjusts one or more of the plurality of adjusting mechanisms based on the cumulative pressure profile.

Automatically adjusting comfort system

A console for aircraft that is located between two seats which face each other. The console includes an open ledge with a cup holder arrangement. The cup holder arrangement includes two removable holder dividers which can be flipped up or down and held into position by a spring-loaded cam arrangement. The console also includes two inwardly facing surfaces which provide connectors for electronic devices resting on the ledge. A light-emitting face is provided on a back wall of the ledge so that any articles resting on the ledge can be seen in dark environments.

A stowable chair armrest for a seat assembly which includes a armrest portion connected to the seat assembly through a restricted movement rotating joint which has limited rotation about a horizontal X and Y axes, the Y-axis being parallel to the length of the armrest portion and positioned above the plane of the seat cushion whereby the armrest portion is rotatable about the Y-axis approximately 180&#xb0; from an elevated position of the armrest to a retracted position. When the armrest is in its use position, it cannot rotate downward about its Y-axis. However, the arm rest can be lifted upward 10&#xb0; about its X-axis, wherein a flat blade connecting the armrest to a spherical pivot becomes aligned in a longitudinal chamber having a circular cross-section thus permitting the armrest portion to rotate 180&#xb0; about its Y-axis to its stowed position.
