Method and apparatus for shifting of a lowpass signal to a higher frequency and for precompensating distortion caused by a digital to analog converter (DAC). Higher frequency signals are generated by filtering the output of the DAC so that at least one of the replicas generated by the DAC is the signal of interest. In this manner, the higher frequency signals for wireless transmitters, or for other applications, may be generated more easily. Moreover, compensation for distortion caused by the DAC is performed by a precompensator which modifies for distortion, not at the baseband signal, but at a passband frequency.

Direct digital conversion of baseband signals to super-nyquist frequencies

An apparatus and method for transmitting envelope modulated data signals on a Radio Frequency (RF) carrier system, which produces high error performance through remodulation of the data signals onto an RF carrier are provided. The apparatus includes a transmit chain where, the data signal is input to a mixer to create upper and lower sidebands of the data signal. A low pass filter removes the upper sideband and passes the lower sideband to a frequency modulation (FM) modulator which modulates an RF carrier with the lower sideband. The apparatus also includes a receiver chain that has an FM receiver which receives the FM RF carrier signal transmitted by the transmit chain and recovers the lower sideband, which is then input to a multiplier to again generate upper and lower sideband signals. A bandpass filter removes the lower sideband and passes the upper sideband as a received envelope modulated data signal.

Apparatus and method for FM remodulation of envelope modulated data signals

A method and apparatus for counting the rounds expended from a firearm. When a non sound-suppressed firearm is discharged, two things occur: A strong sound wave is produced due to the quick expansion of the gases produced by the ignition of the powder in the case; and a rearward motion of the firearm occurs, usually referred to as recoil, due to the projectile moving in the forward direction, as Newton's law states. The integration of both recoil and sound transducers guarantees that in order for the device to increment or decrement both the recoil and the gunshot must occur in the same time frame, thus guaranteeing an accurate count with an easy to install and compact device comprised of an acoustic and dynamic switch, whose outputs are fed into the input of a NAND gate, with the output of the NAND gate fed into a digital counter, then fed into a decoder/driver for output into the output display. The device is able to be reset just before or just after reloading of the firearm by the push of a button.

Electronic ammunition counter

A lightweight, compact, portable exercise device which is self contained and capable of a multitude of exercises. The device comprising a resistance band assembly, existing of a resistance band, a hard rubber spine, and an outer jacket. Attached to one end of the resistance band assembly is a resistance adjust handle, comprising a molded grip shell, a one-step resistance adjust knob and twin integrated foldable handgrips. Attached to the opposing end of the resistance band assembly is the resistance meter assembly, comprised of a molded grip shell, a resistance meter assembly, and twin footrests. The integration of the molded grip shells, hand grips, and foot rests make the unit capable of a large range of exercises, while the one-step resistance adjust knob and resistance meter assembly make resistance adjustments simple and precise.

Resilient exercise device having pair of handles and protective spine

A lightweight, compact, and portable exercise device with built-in molded base (1), molded to accept the body, knees and feet of the user, comprising adjustable force resisters (4a) and adjustable bar (9) heights to perform a variety of different exercises. The rotating sleeve (10) prevents injury and facilitates exercises. The resistance assembly clips (14) and the molded carrying handle (15) make transport of the device easy.
