A bag is provided with a collapsible spout for directing the flow of the contents of the bag during pouring. The collapsible spout can include folds so that the collapsible spout can transition from a substantially flat undeployed configuration to a deployed spout-shaped configuration. The collapsible spout can also include a fastening mechanism so that an opening in the bag can be closed or resealed. A bag can also include a resealable opening for directing the flow of the contents of the bag during pouring. The resealable opening can include a panel with a fastening mechanism so that an opening in the bag can be closed or resealed.

Bags with pour opening features

A bag can include a first wall, a second wall, a third wall, and a fourth wall. The bag can further include a fifth wall, and can be formed as a flat-bottom bag. The bag can also include an opening that is disposed on the first wall of the bag. The opening can be disposed at a lower portion, a middle portion, or an upper portion of the wall. A label, such as a peelable label, can be used to close the opening. A resealable flap can also be used to close the opening if desired.

Bags, gravity fed bags, and uses thereof

A strainable bag with a hook-and-hook closure can include walls formed of a material having multiple layers of polymer or paper or mixtures thereof, and which can include at least one gusset. The hook-and-hook closure allows for liquids or gases to be vented from the bag, as well as for liquids to be removed from the bag interior. The bag can be formed into a full open mouth configuration for ease of filling and ease of dispensing product. The hook-and-hook closure also allows for an imprecise alignment of the closure track to substantially close the bag around the gusset area. Methods of using and manufacturing a strainable bag with a hook-and-hook closure for preparing various food products are also presented.
