A method comprises a security evaluation computer receiving access data from a user device of a user during an access request. The security evaluation computer analyzes the access data using authentication rules that each specify one of a plurality of authentication protocols for authenticating the user or the user device. At least one of the authentication rules specifies a security level flag for when no authentication is to be performed. The security evaluation computer triggers a first authentication rule corresponding to a first authentication protocol of the plurality of authentication protocols and implements the first authentication protocol. The security evaluation computer sends an authorization request message to an authorization server in a manner consistent with the first authentication protocol and then receive an authorization response message. The security evaluation computer analyzes, using authorization rules, the access data and the authorization response message to determine whether to complete the access request.

Engine for configuring authentication of access requests

Systems and methods are described for pre-authentication access request screening. A server computer may receive a request for access to a resource comprising access data. The server computer may transmit, to an authentication computer, an authentication request message comprising at least a subset of the access data and receive an authentication response message comprising authentication data. The server computer may determine an access score based on the authentication data. Alternatively, the server computer may determine the access score based on the access data without using/receiving authorization data. The server computer may generate an access indicator based on the access score. The server computer may prepare and transmit an authorization request message comprising the access indicator to an authorization computer. The authorization computer may approve or decline the access to the resource based on the access indicator.

Provided is a method for configuring at least one rule, e.g., using a graphical user interface. The method may include displaying a graphical user interface including a polygon having at least three edges and an icon at a first position within the polygon. Each edge of the polygon may be associated with a potential outcome of at least one rule. An input to move the icon to a second position within the polygon may be received. The graphical user interface may be displayed with the icon at the second position within the polygon. A distance from the second position of the icon to each edge of the polygon may be determined. The rule(s) may be adjusted based on the distance from the second position of the icon to each edge of the polygon. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Method, system, and computer program product for configuring at least one rule via a graphical user interface

Techniques managing access rules are provided. Access rules and their associated profiles are determined for evaluation. A triggering rate or a triggering percentage can be used to indicate efficacy of the rule. Recommendations can be provided based on a triggering percentage difference of the rule during a predetermined period of time. The recommendations can be provided in an interactive user interface.

The fraud detection system allows a user to designate fraud detection rules as core fraud detection rules, and the fraud detection system can automatically populate new profiles with the user's core fraud detection rules.

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and systems for performing a secure authentication process by leveraging the historical transaction data associated with an issuer. The historical transaction data stored at a fraud detection system may include the types of frequency of past authentication processes performed by the issuer, allowing for a determination of the likelihood of an authentication challenge process being applied to a current transaction. A merchant may define merchant rules that define what authentication process, if any, should then be applied to the current transaction based on the likelihood of an authentication challenge process being applied to the current transaction.

Embodiments of the invention are directed to a fraud detection system that stores fraud detection rules and merchant profiles. The fraud detection system allows a user to designate fraud detection rules as core fraud detection rules, and the fraud detection system can automatically populate new merchant profiles with the user's core fraud detection rules.

Case management interface provides correlation among a plurality of transaction orders in an interactive graphical format. A visualization window displays a plurality of transaction orders that are visually connected based on one or more common data elements associated with the transaction orders. The visualization window can allow a user to interact with different elements of the display to analyze the relationship between order data elements, view order details, reject or accept orders or mark an order as suspect.
