An epicardial pacer wire management device can include a spool defining a recessed region that encompasses the spool. The recessed region can receive a portion of a pacer wire. The device can further include a connector attached to the spool, and the connector can be electrically coupled with an exposed tip of the pacer wire. The device can further include an electrical port attached to the spool that can communicate with a pacing control unit. The device may include an electrical communication line electrically coupled between the connector and the electrical port.

Pacer wire management devices and methods

A collapsible ski device, having: a first forward ski member having a bottom surface, a tip and a rear end; a second middle ski member having a bottom surface, a forward end and a rear end; and a third rear ski member having a bottom surface, a forward end and a tail. The forward end of the second middle ski member is pivotably coupled to the rear end of the first forward ski member by a first hinge mechanism. The first hinge mechanism has a flexible component attached at a first location to a first attachment surface on the first forward ski member and attached at a second location to a second attachment surface on the second middle ski member. The rear end of the second middle ski member is pivotably coupled to the forward end of the third rear ski member by a second hinge mechanism. The second hinge mechanism has a flexible component attached at a first location to a third attachment surface on the second middle ski member and attached at a second location to a fourth attachment surface on the third rear ski member.

The disclosure describes, in one aspect, a control system for controlling a braking system. The control system includes a parking brake operatively to at least one wheel, a park brake override mechanism operatively associated with the parking brake, an inching pedal operatively coupled to a transmission, a shift lever operatively coupled to the transmission, at least one sensor operatively coupled to the parking brake to detect when the parking brake is engaged, at least one sensor operatively coupled to the inching pedal to detect a depression of the inching pedal, and at least one sensor operatively coupled to the shift lever for detecting at least one of a forward or reverse gear selection. The control system further includes a controller operatively coupled to the at least one sensors to receive corresponding signals and adapted to control the engagement of the parking brake when the inching pedal is depressed and the at least one of the forward or reverse gear selections is desired.

System and method for controlling a brake system

A hinge mechanism includes a first hinge element, a second hinge element, and a locking element. The first and second hinge elements each include a plate portion and a plurality of substantially parallel fingers spaced from one another. The pluralities of substantially parallel fingers interlock with one another along a pivot axis such that the first and second hinge elements are rotatable relative to one another about the pivot axis between an extended position and a folded position. The locking element extends substantially parallel to the pivot axis and may be configured to releasably engage a receiving portion in one of the pluralities of substantially parallel fingers when the first and second hinge elements are in the extended position to lock the first and second hinge elements relative to one another. A collapsible ascension ski having such a hinge mechanism as well as related methods and kits are also disclosed.
