A seat includes a seatback. The seat includes a seat bottom extending away from the seatback in a seat-forward direction to a front of the seat bottom distal to the seatback. The seat bottom has a top surface defining an occupant-leg area. The seat includes an airbag supported by the seat bottom at the front of the seat bottom and inflatable from an uninflated position to an inflated position. The airbag in the inflated position extends away from the seat bottom in the seat-forward direction and includes an uppermost surface positioned below the occupant-leg area of the seat bottom.

Vehicle airbag

A vehicle includes a wall having a hanger. The vehicle also includes a floor having a track. A seatback of a seat is supported by the hanger and the track.

Vehicle with slidable seats

A seat bottom includes a frame, a first thigh support, and a second thigh support. The first thigh support and the second thigh support are each supported by the frame and independently movable relative to the frame. A first deployable device is coupled to the first thigh support, and a second deployable device is coupled to the second thigh support. At least one inflator is in fluid communication with at least one of the first and second deployable devices. The first and second deployable devices are each formed of thermoplastic elastomer and are inflatable from an undeployed position to a deployed position.

Vehicle seat bottom with independently deployable devices

Articulating support in a vehicle seat

An active bolster for an automotive vehicle includes a bladder that inflates an interior trim area of the vehicle to provide a cushion to an occupant during an impact. The bladder has a first wall and a second wall cooperatively defining an interior cavity. The bladder has a two stage vent for venting inflation gas supplied into the cavity during an impact event. The vent has a first aperture defining a first predetermined flow area when a pressure difference across the vent is substantially zero. A bendable member defines at least in part the first aperture. A weakened seam joins the bendable member to an adjacent feature of the bladder. When there is a predetermined pressure difference across the vent, the weakened seam is ruptured and the bendable member deflects to a second position defining a second flow area greater than the first flow area.

Active bolster and bolster vent

A first pad and a second pad are configured to be arranged in a vehicle seat. A plurality of passive movement devices are provided to be respectively arranged behind, and to cause movement of, the pads. The passive movement devices are configured to be actuated independently of one another.
