A first stage pressure regulator is provided. A valve body has an inlet and an outlet that define a pressure chamber therebetween. The valve body defines a pressure compensation chamber having an opening fluidly communicating the pressure compensation chamber with the surrounding water. The first stage pressure regulator comprises an inlet tubular union removably received into the inlet. A removable high pressure orifice body defines an orifice therethrough. The orifice body is carried by the valve body proximate the inlet. A valve seat is within the valve body.

A tank cinch is configured to cooperate with a strap to secure a tank of compressed air to a buoyancy compensation device. The tank cinch includes an adjustable frame having a sliding member, a first cam receiver and a second cam receiver. A lever body including a first cam and a second cam is pivotably joined to the adjustable frame and is pivotable about a pivoting axis defined by the adjustable frame. The lever body is configured to fix a first end portion of the strap. The adjustable frame is configured to fix a second end portion of the strap with the sliding member when the lever is rotated about the pivoting axis towards the adjustable frame member. The cams are arranged to bear against an outermost surface of the tank and to be received in the cam receivers when the lever body is pivoted towards the adjustable frame.

Quick fit tank cinch

A back pack cinch for a strap securing a breathing tank, and an associated buoyancy compensation device worn by a driver are provided. The back pack cinch includes a cinch body. A cover is rotatably mounted to the cinch body. The cover has an open position and a closed position. The cover in the closed position is configured to tension a strap. A tab is rotatably mounted to the cinch body. The tab has an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, a portion of the strap is pressed against the serrated bearing surface by the tab to hold the portion of the strap in a fixed position.

Back pack cinch and buoyancy compensation device

A back pack for an underwater breathing gas tank is provided. The back pack includes a tank mounting structure having a front surface facing away from an underwater breathing gas tank when an underwater breathing gas tank is operably mounted to the tank mounting structure. The tank mounting structure defines a recess. The front surface defines an opening of the recess. The tank mounting structure defines a bottom surface of the recess opposite the opening in the front surface. The back pack includes a strap and a buckle. The buckle has a latched state for securing the strap in a fixed position for securing an underwater breathing gas tank to the tank mounting structure. The buckle, when in a latched state, is positioned at least partially within the recess.

Back pack cinch

A first stage pressure regulator is provided. The regulator includes a valve body having an inlet and an outlet coupled by a pressure chamber. A pressure compensation chamber fluidly communicates with the surrounding water. A valve member is slidably carried by the valve body between an open state in which fluid is permitted to flow between the inlet and outlet and a closed state in which fluid is prevented from flowing between the inlet and outlet. The valve member has an expansion head that is operably acted upon by the surrounding water within the pressure compensation chamber to bias the valve member toward the open state. The regulator includes an annular insulating bushing within the compensation chamber that covers a portion of the valve body defining a portion of the pressure compensation chamber to insulate the valve body from the water within the pressure compensation chamber.
