For the indirect laying or aiming of a weapon at a target, which weapon is arranged upon a vehicle, there are performed with the aid of an electronic computer predetermined steps which enable the weapon to be layed rapidly, simply and in a fail-safe manner. The weapon is initially oriented with respect to the north direction. The target azimuth is stored in the computer. The computer shows the momentary direction deviation and the weapon is pivoted for such length of time until the display shows 'O'.

Method for indirectly laying a weapon and apparatus for the performance

In order to eliminate or suppress external weather effects from acting upon the objective lens system or arrangement of an aiming periscope installed at an armed combat vehicle, a part which protrudes out of the combat compartment or space of the vehicle is surrounded by a protective globe or hood. Between the protective globe or hood and the protruding part there are provided air channels, by means of which there can be conveyed an air current past the objective lens system towards the outside. Advantageously, the excess pressure emanating from the combat compartment is employed for generating the air current or flow. Apart from the weather protection which is thus provided for the objective lens system there also is afforded a temperature compensation within the aiming periscope.

Apparatus for eliminating external weather effects from the objective

An electrical fuze for projectiles, especially rockets, comprising a short-circuit connection for bridging a firing chain of a detonator cap and a device for interrupting the short-circuit connection. The short-circuit connection is formed by part of a conductor track provided at a printed circuit board and which adheres to a layer or portion of the printed circuit board forming a fracture or breaking location.

Electrical fuze for projectiles

A shell possessing a substantially cylindrical shell casing in which there is contained an explosive mass and at the inner wall of which casing there bears a layer of substantially spherical-shaped projectiles of the same size which are partially embedded in the explosive mass and between which there is locacted a filler mass. The projectiles which are partially embedded in the filler mass are exposed to axial pressure in the finished fabricated shell in order to avoid displacement and detachment of the projectiles from the shell casing and the thereby resulting imbalance during firing of the shell. The method of fabricating such shell contemplates inserting a guide sleeve into the shell casing and between the shell casing and the guide sleeve there are embedded equal size spherical-shaped projectiles. The projectiles after being filled into the shell are exposed to pressure in the axial direction and thereafter the guide sleeve is removed. A filler mass is filled into the shell casing while the same rotates for such length of time until the projectiles are partially embedded in such filler mass and an explosive mass is filled in a liquid state into the shell casing so that the projectiles have the remaining portions thereof embedded in the explosive mass.
