A snap hook with front and rear locks that must be disengaged for the gate to open. The body has a base and a J-shaped hook. A gate has two parallel, spaced fingers extending from an end of a gate arm. As the gate pivots between open and closed positions, a stop pin extending between the arms and through a curved slot in the body slides within the curved slot. A front lock pivots between a locking position, where shoulders in the gate arms abut an edge on the front lock, preventing the gate from pivoting open, and an unlocking position, where the shoulder does not abut the front lock edge. The rear lock pivots between a locking position, where the curved slots on the rear lock are not aligned with body curved slot, and an unlocking position, where the curved slots are aligned, and the gate can pivot open.

Double locking snap hook

A rigid tether for use with a friction brake. The tether has a rigid handle with a brake hole at one end designed for mounting a friction brake to rotate about the brake hole. A pulley arm with pulley is attached to rotate about the other end of the handle. The pulley arm is two parallel plates, a fixed plate and a gate plate, with an axle between them on which is mounted the pulley. The plates, pulley, and handle define a rope slot. The gate plate can pivot on the axle to provide access to the rope slot.

Rigid friction brake tether

A pet crate door latch with a vertically-reciprocating slider on the door and fixed tabs attached to a crate side panel adjacent to the door opening and forming open slots parallel to the panel. The slots can be vertical, inwardly-facing horizontal, or outwardly-facing horizontal. The slider has perpendicular or parallel edges that operate as slot edges. The perpendicular edges are slot edges for vertical slots and the parallel edges are slot edges for horizontal slots. There is a tab space below each slot edge. To engage the latch, the slider is raised until the tabs are aligned with the associated tab spaces. As the door is closing, the tabs fit through the tab spaces. When the door is closed, the slider is lowered until halted by a latch stop wherein the slot edge is transversely within the slot.

A scabbard holder for securing a scabbard to a user's leg includes a hard shell configured to be secured to the scabbard, a cushioned pad connected to the hard shell, the cushioned pad being configured to be positioned between the hard shell and the user's leg, and a leg strap configured to secure the holder and the scabbard to the user's leg.

A trigger assembly for a projectile launcher with a hinged cuff that attaches to the launcher pole using a quick-release mechanism. A trigger mechanism has a elongated finger, one end of which is bent 90&#xb0; to a stem that is pivotally mounted. One end of a release bar is pivotally mounted to the stem bend such that pulling the trigger pulls the release bar backwardly. A pivotally-mounted catch has an arm that forms a notch for the launcher pouch loop. The catch is held in the capture position by the release arm holding against a ledge on the catch. Pulling the trigger causes the release arm to release the catch. A pivotally-mounted safety latch has a finger with a notch that hooks onto a pin in the trigger to prevent pulling the trigger. A latch release lever enables the user to disengage the latch from the pin.

Projectile launcher trigger

A lock assembly comprising a lock body, a shackle, and a locking member configured to selectively lock the shackle relative to the lock body. At least one combination dial is rotatable between various combination positions. The at least one combination dial is associated with the locking member and is configured such that entry of a given series of combination positions causes the locking member to unlock the shackle relative to the lock body. A sensor is configured to sense the rotational position of the al least one combination dial. A display screen is associated with the sensor and is configured to display a position indicia which corresponds to the rotational position of the at least one combination dial.

A lock assembly including a body and at least one locking member. An actuator mechanism within the body is moveable between locked and unlocked positions. The actuator mechanism may be actuated by either a key lock cylinder or an electronic actuator. The lock assembly may also include a memory configured to store user identification information.

Portable lock with electronic lock actuator

A cross brace for securing on a U-lock having a U-shaped shackle with the cross brace comprising first and second engaging members and a connecting member therebetween. The first engaging member defines a first through bore having a first opening and a first central axis. The second engaging member defines a second through bore having second opening and a second central axis. The connecting member extends between and connects the first and second members relative to one another such that an opening plane extending between the first and second openings and intersecting the first and second central axes is at an acute angle relative to the first and second central axes.

A latching assembly adapted to engage a mounting member. The latching assembly includes a support and a latching member movable mounted on the support for movement between a latched position and an unlatched position. A locking member is mounted for movement relative to the latching member between a locked position and an unlocked position. The locking member is biased toward the locked position. A securing mechanism is coupled with the latching member and is movable between a secured position and an unsecured position. The locking member is adapted to move from the locked position to the unlocked position upon engagement of the locking member with the mounting member, and the latching member is adapted to pivot from the unlatched position to the latched position upon engagement of the locking member with the mounting member.

Latching assembly

A new reset mechanism for an existing retractable wire lock. In one embodiment, the internal component for placing the prior art lock in reset mode by pushing the locking head into the lock casing is replaced by a component with a reset button. In a second embodiment, the internal component for placing the prior art lock in reset mode is replaced by a component with a reset button and that further includes a mechanism for using the locking head to retain the component in the reset position so that the button does not have to be continually pressed during the reset procedure.

Retractable wire lock with secure reset mechanism

A detachable component assembly including a detachable component and a pair of latching mechanisms mounted on the detachable component for securing the detachable component to a motorcycle mount upon movement of the detachable component toward the mount. The detachable component includes a pair of side plates each having a recess engageable with the mount, and the latching mechanisms each include a latching member pivotally mounted on the side plates movable relative to the side plates between an unlatched position, in which the recesses are engageable and disengageable with the mount, and a latched position, in which the recess is held in engagement with the mount. The detachable component assembly further includes a locking member movable relative to the latching member between an unlocked position, in which the latch member is movable between the latched and unlatched positions, and a locked position, in which the latch member is held in the latched position. A securing mechanism is coupled with the latching member, and is movable between a secured position and an unsecured position, wherein the locking member is prohibited from moving from the locked position to the unlocked position by the securing mechanism in the secured position.

Securing mechanism for detachable motorcycle component

Changing the locking mechanism in a U-lock, cable lock or other tie lock as often as desired is achieved without compromising the lock's resistance to physical damage. This function is achieved by an auxiliary sleeve that removably fits over the U-lock's crossbar or the cable lock's end bar. Either bar provides an aperture, which is too small to permit the locking mechanism to be picked or pried, but which is operatively positioned and sufficiently large to provide access for a key to the keyway of the locking mechanism.

Tie lock assemblage with replaceable lock mechanism

A U-lock holder for stowing a U-lock on a bicycle frame. The holder comprises a brace for connection to a leg of the U-lock, and a bracket for connection to a part of the bicycle frame. The brace and the bracket are adapted for engagement and disengagement with and from each other. The brace includes a collar, a tongue, and opposed intermediate articulations between the collar and the tongue. The bracket includes a mount, a channel, a saddle, and opposed intermediate guides between the channel and the saddle. The collar is adapted to receive and to be affixed to a leg of the U-lock. The mount is adapted to abut against the bicycle frame. A strap tightly affixes the bracket to the bicycle frame. Mating of the brace and the bracket effect simultaneous engagement of (1) the tongue and the articulations of the brace, and (2) the channel and the guides of the bracket.
