Methods including preparing a treatment fluid comprising a bulk amount of anhydrous ammonia, wherein the anhydrous ammonia is present in an amount greater than about 10% by weight of a liquid portion of the treatment fluid, and wherein the anhydrous ammonia is in a phase selected from the group consisting of a liquid phase, a gaseous phase, supercritical phase, and any combination thereof; and introducing the treatment fluid into a subterranean formation.

A method of treating a subterranean formation including suspending proppant particulates in a treatment fluid, wherein the proppant particles include a coating comprising a salt-tolerant, water-swellable polymer, and the treatment fluid includes at least one fluid consisting of fresh water, salt water, seawater, brine, an aqueous salt solution, and combinations thereof; and introducing the treatment fluid containing the settling retardant proppant particulates into the subterranean formation. A composite proppant particle includes a proppant substrate and a salt tolerant polymeric layer deposited on the proppant substrate.

Application of biodegradable oils to additive particles to control dusting. A method of reducing an amount of dust produced during transfer of additive particles comprising: treating at least some of the additive particles with one or more biodegradable oils; storing the additive particles; and transferring the additive particles prior to and after storage, wherein biodegradable oil reduces the amount of dust produced during at least one of the transfers of the additive particles.

Using biodegradable oils for controlling dust from additive particles

A fracturing fluid and method of including a cellulose polymer derivative, a diol functional group, and a borate crosslinker. The diol functional group may be a cis-diol functional group, a 1,2-diol functional group, or a 1,3-diol functional group. The cellulose polymer derivative further may include a hydroxyethyl group or a hydroxypropyl group. The fracturing fluid may also include at least one metallic crosslinker. The method may also include the steps of adding a pH adjusting agent, at least one breaker, a surfactant, a scale inhibitor, and/or a bactericide to the fracturing fluid, or mixing the fracturing fluid using mixing equipment or wherein the fracturing fluid is introduced into a subterranean formation using one or more pumps.

In one embodiment, the diverting compositions comprise: a first component comprising polymeric particles; and a second component comprising polymeric particles having a plurality of surface polymeric brushes.

Methods for treating a shale formation may include injecting a pad fluid including a shale stabilizing agent into a shale formation to generate one or more fractures. The method may also include injecting a fracturing slurry including proppant particulates into the one or more generated fractures such that the proppant particulates form microfractures along shale fracture faces. At least a portion of the proppant particulates may be at least partially coated with at least one oxidizing agent.

A method of fracturing a subterranean formation comprising: introducing a fracturing fluid into a well, wherein the introduction of the fracturing fluid creates or enhances a fracture in the subterranean formation, wherein the fracturing fluid comprises: a base fluid; proppant; a scale inhibitor; and the surface modification agent.
