The invention relates to a method and centering assembly () for centering a tire component (), wherein the method comprises the steps of placing the tire component on and conveying it from a first conveyor () towards a second conveyor (), determining the position of a first longitudinal edge (), transversely moving the first conveyor () and thereby aligning the first longitudinal edge () along a first reference on the second conveyor (), conveying the tire component from the first conveyor () onto the second conveyor () while determining the position of a second longitudinal edge (), wherein the tire component has a center between the first longitudinal edge () and the second longitudinal edge (), conveying the tire component from the second conveyor () towards a drum (), laterally moving the drum () to align the center of the tire component with a center of a desired application position of the tire component on the drum, and conveying the tire component from the second conveyor () onto the drum ().

Method for centering a tire component

The invention relates to an extruder tooling for placement in an extruder head and for forming an elastomeric strip with reinforcement cords, wherein the extruder tooling includes a die for applying elastomeric material to the reinforcement cords and a cord guide for guiding the reinforcement cords in a guide plane towards the die, wherein the cord guide includes cord guide members, wherein the extruder head is provided with flow channels which are arranged to debouch, via slits in the cord guide members, into the die, wherein the lower cord guide member and the upper cord member are each provided with an inner body extending on the inside of the lower slit and the upper slit, respectively, and an outer body extending on the outside of the lower slit and the upper slit, respectively, wherein the inner bodies are integrally connected to the respective outer bodies.

Extruder tooling

A tire layer application assembly and a method for applying a tire layer around a substantially circular circumferential surface of an object. The assembly is provided with a drive which, during application, is coupled to the object for driving the object in a driven rotation about a concentric axis of rotation with respect to the circumferential surface, wherein the assembly includes a tracking device which, during application, is arranged to be fixed to a part of the tire layer that is applied to the circumferential surface, wherein the tracking device is rotatable in a tracking rotation about the axis of rotation of the object, independent of the driven rotation of the object about the same axis of rotation.

Tyre layer application assembly and method

Cutting device for cutting strips from a band of material (). Cutting device

Device () for manufacturing a rubber strip material comprising cord material. The device comprises an extruder () with an integrated gear pump () with adjustable pump speed and with a conveying screw for extruding unvulcanised rubber around the cord material for the purpose of producing a continuous rubber strip. The device furthermore comprises a control unit () for adjusting the pump speed of the gear pump, a measuring unit () for measuring the height and the width of the rubber strip and for emitting a measuring signal indicative of the measured height and width. The measuring unit can be connected to the control unit for adjusting the pump speed of the gear pump for emitting the measuring signal to it, wherein the pump speed of the gear pump can be controlled by the control unit at least based on the measuring signal.
