A vacuum cleaner has a housing (1) in which a dust chamber (17) and a motor chamber (13) are accommodated. The motor chamber (13) is connected to the dust chamber (17) via a motor inlet (15). The housing (1) includes a lower housing part (37) and an upper housing part (39). The dust chamber (17) is present at a side (43) of the upper housing part (39) which faces away from the lower housing part (37), and is bounded by a depression (41) in the upper housing part (39) which faces the lower housing part (37). The motor chamber (13) includes a chamber (45) of the upper housing part (39) which is present at a side (49) of the upper housing part (39) which faces the lower housing part (37). The depression (41) defines an unmolding direction (X) of the upper housing part (39). The chamber (45) has an unmolding direction (X') which is parallel to the unmolding direction (X) of the upper housing part (39), while the motor inlet (15) is provided in the upper housing part (39) and extends in a plane which intersects the unmolding direction (X). The upper housing part (39) and the lower housing part (37) can be manufactured by means of an injection molding process with a minimum number of auxiliary mold pieces or inserts, the lower housing part (37) being of a very simple construction.

A vacuum-cleaner-hose assembly includes a vacuum-cleaner hose (6, 36) and a swivel coupling (3, 33) for coupling the vacuum-cleaner hose (6, 36) to a housing (4) of a vacuum cleaner so as to allow it to be swivelled about a swivel axis (5) and at an angle relative to said swivel axis (5). The swivel coupling (3, 33) has a hose guide (8, 38) which surrounds a flexible portion (24, 54) of the vacuum-cleaner hose (6, 36) and holds said portion of the vacuum-cleaner hose (6, 36) in a curved position. Since the vacuum-cleaner hose is held in a curved position, the connection of the vacuum-cleaner hose to the swivel coupling can be arranged closer to that end of the swivel coupling which is to be connected to the vacuum cleaner, as a result of which the swivel coupling can be smaller and the swivel coupling or at least a combination of the swivel coupling and an adjoining coupling portion of the vacuum-cleaner hose projects less far in relation to the swivel axis of the swivel coupling.

A current collector device intended to be connected to a voltage rail comprising a bottom part (1) with two parallel side walls (2, 3) on whose inner side longitudinally extending ribs (4, 5, 6, 7) are provided, while at least two mutually insulated current conductors (11, 9, 10) are present on the bottom part, this current collector device comprising a housing of synthetic material which is provided with projecting contact members (14, 15) and is shaped so that it can be pressed into the rail, an electrical connection being established between the contact members and the current conductors, while the housing is detachably secured to the side walls of the voltage rail by means of edges (20, 21) cooperating with the ribs (4 and 5) in the rail, the housing accommodating a carriage (13) which carries the contact members and is slidable between a decoupling position, in which the housing can be pressed into the rail, and a coupling position, in which the housing is locked in the rail in the pressed-in state.

A television camera comprising a pickup lens and a pickup unit which is aligned with respect to the lens. The pickup unit is arranged in a holder with a slide. The pickup unit is displaceable on the slide along an axis in the direction of the pickup lens by means of an adjusting lever. This lever is resiliently clamped between the pickup unit and a wall of the holder which is directed transverse to the slide. One end of the lever is directly coupled to the transverse wall, while the other end is coupled thereto by way of an adjusting member. When the adjusting member is displaced, the lever is tilted around the point directly coupled to the holder. The center of the lever then moves the pickup unit over the slide. This construction is simple, does not require high manufacturing precision, and its operation is free of play and stickiness.

Play-free focusing mechanism for a television camera

The invention relates to a television camera comprising a plurality of pickup elements which are positioned relative to a pickup lens by means of a holder which also includes a color splitting prism system. A front face of the prism system is attached to a reference face of the holder. The prism system is positioned in the holder by means of an abutment element attached to the holder and engaging at least one optically flat prism face. In this manner the prism system is very accurately positioned in the holder in a simple manner.
