The invention relates to a method for recording images with a light microscope, wherein a specimen container with a specimen is arranged on a specimen holder of the light microscope, and wherein illuminating light is guided onto the specimen. The illuminating light can hereby be cut in a cross-section transversely to an optical axis of the light microscope through a wall of the specimen container to a limited cross-sectional region. First and second diaphragm settings are determined and set, for the limited cross-sectional region of the illuminating light defined by the wall of the specimen container, in which the diaphragm covers equal sized portions of the limited cross-sectional region. In addition the invention relates to a light microscope which is adapted in particular to carry out the method.

The invention relates to a device for simultaneous fluorescence contrasting effect in transmitted light and reflected light, having a reflected light optical path for focusing of the excitation light via a lens onto a sample, having a fluorescence signal, which extends from the sample and is directed onto the same lens, having a dichroite, an emission filter, and a detection unit for the purpose of separating the excitation light from the fluorescence signal and for detection, having a luminescent layer behind the sample and a diaphragm for partial coverage of the excitation optical path between the sample and the luminescent layer, whereby a part of the excitation optical path, which impinges onto the luminescent layer, emits light, which irradiates the sample past the diaphragm by forming an oblique transmitted light illumination.

The upper stage element is mounted to the intermediate stage element and is displaceable along a first axis. The intermediate stage element is mounted to the base stage plate and is displaceable along a second axis. A mechanical stage drive includes an upper stage element drive with an output link coupled to the upper stage element and providing a first drive direction. An intermediate stage drive with an output link is coupled to the intermediate stage and provides a second drive direction. A tube attachment for microscopes which facilitates visual microscope work particularly over extended periods and which can be used universally for different types of microscopes and, at the same time, can be produced economically using simple manufacturing techniques, it is suggested that a tube attachment is constructed as a holder which can be adjusted with respect to height and, optionally, with respect to angle and can be fastened directly to a binocular tube of a microscope. The holder includes two carriers which are displaceable axially relative to one another and which have a forehead rest and a chin support or one carrier with the forehead rest for a user, and devices are provided at the carriers for clamping the adjusting movements of the carriers.

The invention is directed to a device for marking microscopic preparations. It is characterized in that arc-shaped marks can be applied to a preparation in a simple, ergonomic manner by means of writing tips. For this purpose, the writing tips are lowered onto the preparation and the writing movement is carried out by means of an individual operating element.
