A system for detecting collision risk to a secured marine vessel using a vision system of the marine vessel is provided, the system comprising: a plurality of cameras, including at least a first camera and a second camera, wherein each of the plurality of cameras is configured to be mounted to the marine vessel with an associated field of view of an environment of the marine vessel; one or more hardware processors configured to: determine that the marine vessel is secured; determine, based on image data generated by one or more of the plurality of cameras, that the marine vessel is at an increased risk of collision; and generate a collision alert based on the increased risk of collision.

A marine propulsion system for a hydrofoil marine vessel includes at least one marine propulsion device, a foil structure configured to raise at least a portion of a hull of the hydrofoil marine vessel system above a waterline when the hydrofoil marine vessel is operating in a foiling mode; and a propulsion controller operably coupled to the at least one marine propulsion device and the foil structure. The propulsion controller is configured to detect a loss of lift event in the foil structure during operation of the hydrofoil marine vessel in the foiling mode. Responsive to detection of the loss of lift event, the propulsion controller is configured to control the at least one marine propulsion device to increase a thrust provided by the at least one marine propulsion device.

The system includes at least one electrode set configured to detect a voltage gradient measurement at a location in a body of water surrounding the marine vessel, and a control system. The control system is configured to receive the voltage gradient measurement from each electrode set; compare each voltage gradient measurement to at least one threshold to determine a voltage threat level, and generate a threat response based on the voltage threat level.

A method of controlling an electric marine propulsion system configured to propel a marine vessel includes receiving a user-set distance, identifying a battery charge level of a power storage system on a marine vessel and identifying an energy utilization value. An output limit is then determined based on a remaining distance, the battery charge level, and the energy utilization value. The propulsion system is then automatically controlled so as to not exceed the output limit, enabling the marine vessel to travel the user-set distance without recharging the power storage system.
