The disclosed technologies include receiving a request from a second computing device to verify ownership of a blockchain address. A challenge content is generated and sent to the requestor. A signature is received comprising a hash of the challenge content generated using a private key. A public key corresponding to the private key is obtained, and the signature is validated using the public key. In response to validating the signature, a characteristic is associated with a user associated with the blockchain address.

Blockchain-based authentication and authorization

Technologies are shown for shipping route selection involving receiving sender and recipient shipping information for an item to be shipped and obtaining shipping route options for the item based on the sender and recipient shipping information. The route options are provided for display and selection of an option. A routing data block is created for the item at an address on a blockchain that stores shipping information for each stage of the selected route. A shipping tag is encoded with the blockchain address and attached to the item. The tag can be scanned to obtain the blockchain address and request information for a next stage of the shipping route from the block. The next shipping information from the block is received and utilized to ship the item to a next geolocation. The next shipping information can be determined based on current conditions, such as weather, pricing and availability.

Decentralized shipping network using blockchains

A plurality of images are received from one or more social media platforms associated with a user. For a selected image of the plurality of images, a plurality of text descriptions are generated. The plurality of text descriptions are computer-generated captions that describe features of the selected image of the plurality of images. The plurality of text descriptions are processed through a natural language processing model. Based on processing, a plurality of interest contexts are derived from the plurality of text descriptions. A mapping of each of the plurality of interest contexts to one or more predefined categories associated with an online marketplace is generated. Based the mapping of each of the plurality of interest contexts to the one or more predefined categories, a user device associated with the user is caused to display an app page or web page associated with the one or more predefined categories.

Generating app or web pages via extracting interest from images

Technologies are described for generating visualizations that graphically represent an item being exposed to extreme environmental conditions while en route to a destination. An exemplary visualization may include a still graphic that shows a symbol of a detected environmental condition positioned adjacent to and/or superimposed over a graphic that represents the item. Another exemplary visualization may include an animation that includes a sequence of frames that, when sequentially displayed at a particular frame rate, animate the item being subjected to the detected environmental condition. Various implementations include receiving measurements of the environmental conditions that the item is exposed to from sensors that are proximate to the item while it is en route to the destination. Then, when thresholds are reached for specific environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, acceleration, etc.), visualizations may be generated that graphically represent the item being exposed to such specific environmental conditions.

Dynamically generating visualization data based on shipping events

Technologies are shown for securing private information during shipping of an item storing shipping information at a blockchain address that includes a recipient geolocation address and generating a shipping label that includes a machine-readable pointer to the blockchain address. The label can be scanned to obtain the blockchain address and request the shipping information. In response to a request, the recipient geolocation address or a next intermediate shipper can be provided. The recipient can be notified to obtain authorization to release the recipient geolocation address or provide an alternative geolocation for delivery.
