A two-stage, omnidirectional vertical axis wind turbine includes a first chamber in which a plurality of angularly spaced horns guide wind from any side of the wind turbine into a chamber to rotate a first rotor. Wind exiting the first rotor passes through a diverter to produce laminar flow. A fan attached to the shaft intercepts this laminar flow to add additional torque to the shaft.

Omnidirectional vertical-axis wind turbine

A coffee grinder with a removable storage and dispensing element that has a housing and rotatable assembly in the housing. The rotatable assembly includes a distributor allows a single one of multiple open sectors to be filled in any given position. A dispensing component has an open sector angularly offset from the open sector of the distributor. When the dispensing component open sector aligns with a filled sector, the beans drop into a hopper for grinding. A grinder operates until all the beans in the hopper are ground.

A driver circuit having a predetermined on time and a predetermined off time provides a drive signal to a heating element of an aroma generating apparatus. The drive signal is applied during each positive half cycle of the input AC voltage while maintaining the gate of a silicon controlled rectifier saturated over the entire positive and negative cycles of the input AC voltage.

Driver circuit

An aroma generating apparatus includes a driver circuit which functions as a real time lapse counter and includes a signal indicator to designate the replacement period of useful lifetime of the aroma producing cartridge. The driver circuit continuously operates between a low frequency during the off state of the resistance heating element and a high frequency during energizing of the resistance heating element. The dual frequency permits monitoring ofthe real time operation of the apparatus without the need of providing memory devices to accommodate inoperative periods of the apparatus.
