Modular battery system

An inverter subsystem that includes a direct current (DC) bus, a DC terminal, and a power storage interface that is configured to be connected to power storage. The DC terminal is configured to be: (1) connected to the DC bus via an internally-facing side of the DC terminal and (2) connected to a load via an externally-facing side of the DC terminal. The load is powered via the DC terminal.

Power interface to an inverter subsystem

A battery charging cabinet for micromobility transit vehicle batteries may include a cabinet housing, at least one drawer, a plurality of charging docks, and a plurality of battery chargers. The drawer may be configured to extend from and retract into the cabinet housing. The plurality of charging docks may be disposed in the drawer where each of the plurality of charging docks may be configured to interface with a battery for a micromobility transit vehicle. The plurality of battery chargers may be disposed in a corresponding charging dock of the drawer, where the battery charger is able to charge the battery held in the corresponding charging dock. Micromobility transit vehicle battery charging systems and methods

A micromobility vehicle for use in a vehicle share system includes a frame, a footboard fixed to the frame, a seat fixed to the frame, handlebars, and a computing device. The frame includes a horizontal portion and an angled portion. The seat is separated from the footboard in a vertical direction by a fixed distance. The handlebars are separated from the footboard in the vertical direction by a fixed distance. A cargo storage location is at least partially disposed between the seat and the footboard. The computing device is fixed to the frame and capable of executing a transportation matching system application.

Micromobility electric vehicle ergonomics

Determining an energy storage device plan includes determining a benefit gradient associated with charging or discharging of an energy storage. It further includes determining, using an energy storage lifetime model, a cost gradient associated with a degradation of the energy storage due to charging or discharging. It further includes applying a threshold to the benefit gradient and the cost gradient. It further includes facilitating charging or discharging of the energy storage based at least in part on the threshold being met or exceeded.

A wiring harness for a battery and inverter system includes a main cable. It further includes an inverter connector configured to plug the main cable into an inverter module. An energy storage system includes an energy storage component. It further includes heat generating electronics. It further includes a fluid circulator that transfers fluid between the energy storage component and the heat generating electronics. The circulator is controlled to alternatively transfer fluid from the battery to the heat generating electronics or from the heat generating electronics to the energy storage component based at least in part on a thermal state of the energy storage system.

Cell temperature regulation

Techniques are disclosed for systems and methods associated with a powertrain for a micro-mobility fleet vehicle. The fleet vehicle may include at least one drive wheel to provide tractive contact between the flee vehicle and a road surface, an electric motor mechanically coupled to the drive wheel and configured to provide motive force for the fleet vehicle, a brake resistor configured to provide dynamic braking of the motor, and a motor controller electronically coupling the brake resistor to the motor. The motor controller may be configured to control the motive force provided by the motor using the brake resistor. The motor controller may be configured to limit a speed, power, and/or acceleration of the motor using the brake resistor based on an operational environment of, and/or on a directive received by, the fleet vehicle. The brake resistor may provide a relatively wide range of traction control for the fleet vehicle.

Micro-mobility fleet vehicle powertrain systems and methods

A wiring harness for a battery and inverter system includes a main cable. It further includes an inverter connector configured to plug the main cable into an inverter module that includes: an inverter-end positive-DC power bus pin, an inverter-end negative DC power bus pin, and an inverter-end neutral power bus pin. It further includes a first spur of the main cable terminating in a first-type battery device connector that includes: a first-type battery module positive-DC power bus pin and a first-type battery device neutral power bus pin. It further includes a second spur of the main cable terminating in a second type battery device connector that includes: a second-type battery module neutral power bus pin and a second-type battery device negative DC power bus pin.

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include detecting a throttle position of a micromobility vehicle (MV) and determining an acceleration of the MV based at least on the throttle position. The acceleration is associated with a torque magnitude of the MV. The method also includes comparing the acceleration with a target acceleration associated with the throttle position. The method further includes modifying the torque magnitude based at least on the comparison of the acceleration of the MV with the target acceleration associated with the throttle position. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
