A method of electrically contacting at least one enameled copper wire, which forms a winding carried by a first component, with a second component of an electric motor, generator, sensor or electromagnet. The method includes forming at least one wire end of the at least one enameled copper wire into an electrical contact, positioning the electrical contact in a molding process, a molding compound formed in the molding process at least partially surrounds the first component and the at least one wire end, and contacting the electrical contact with the second component.

A motor vehicle cooling system with an electric coolant pump includes a housing with a pump shaft. The electric coolant pump includes an electric motor in a motor housing. The electric coolant pump is at least partially accommodated in the pump shaft. A clamping device including at least two clamping arms is attached to an upper side of the motor housing. The clamping arms are supported with free ends thereof on an inner side of the pump shaft to clamp the electric coolant pump to the housing.

A motor housing cover assembly includes a motor housing cover of an electric motor with an upper side and a lower side and a printed circuit board with electronic components. An electric motor includes a rotor and a stator including a stator core and coils. The coils are defined by a winding wire including winding wire ends electrically contacted with a printed circuit board at an end surface through connectors. The connectors each include at least two insulation displacement contacts receiving a winding wire end of a stator winding. Each connector includes a single electrical connection to the printed circuit board. The connector includes a base body with an underside in contact with the printed circuit board. Each of the at least two insulation displacement contacts includes a clamping slot perpendicular to the underside of the base body. The clamping slots are defined by spaced legs extending from the base body, at least two of the spaced legs being resilient.

A pump assembly includes an electric motor with a printed circuit board with a controller, a pump driven by the electric motor, a housing surrounding the printed circuit board, and a connector which is fastened on an outside of the housing by a flange, which covers an opening of the housing, and which includes contacts directly electrically contacting the printed circuit board. The contacts pass through the opening of the housing. The connector includes a main housing in which the contacts extend and which adjoins the flange. The connector includes a pressure compensator which is in the main housing.

An electric coolant pump is used as an auxiliary water pump in a vehicle. The pump includes radial mounting of the shaft () is provided by means of a coolant-lubricated radial sliding bearing () arranged between the pump impeller () and the rotor (). A dry-running electric motor () with a radially inner stator () and a radially outer rotor () is accommodated in a motor chamber () separated from the pump chamber (). A shaft seal () is between the radial sliding bearing () and the motor chamber (). The rotor () is bell-shaped with an inner surface facing the shaft seal () and being fixed to the shaft seal () to axially overlap with the shaft (). The motor chamber () has an opening to the atmosphere, which is closed by a liquid-tight pressure equalization membrane () that is permeable to vapor.

In an electrical coolant pump, preferably for use as an additional water pump in a vehicle, a radial bearing of the shaft is provided by means of a radial slide bearing lubricated with coolant on the separating element which is disposed between the pump impeller and the rotor. A dry-running electric motor has a radially inner stator and a radially outer rotor is accommodated within the motor chamber. A shaft seal is disposed between the radial slide bearing and the motor chamber. The rotor is formed in a cup shape, the inner surface of which faces the shaft seal and is fixed to the shaft in an axially overlapping manner. The motor chamber has an opening to the atmosphere which is closed by a liquid-tight and vapor-permeable pressure equalizing membrane. The separating element is configured as a support flange with a separating portion and an axial projection into the motor chamber, to which the stator is attached. The control unit is disposed between the separating element and the stator in the axial direction.

An electrically driven gerotor pump has a gerotor which comprises a stationary outer gerotor element with an inner toothing that is axially delimited by two chamber walls, wherein each chamber-forming foot section of the inner toothing is paired with a pressure valve which is connected to the outlet. The gerotor also comprises an inner gerotor element with an outer toothing which is guided in the outer gerotor element in a circumferential manner on an eccentric section of the shaft and is mounted in, a rotatable manner so as to mesh with the inner toothing.
