The present description relates generally to methods and systems for power management of a digital (e.g., electronic) stethoscope. In one example, an electronic stethoscope includes a chestpiece configured to be positioned on a patient, the chestpiece including a sensor, wherein the chestpiece further includes a computer processing unit (CPU) operatively coupled to a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the CPU, cause the CPU to automatically activate the electronic stethoscope in response to detecting a touch input via the sensor.

Systems and methods for power management of an electronic stethoscope

The present description relates to methods and systems for a medical dictation. In one example, a stethoscope includes a first microphone positioned to capture physiological sounds of a patient, a second microphone positioned to capture ambient sounds, one or more processors, and memory storing instructions executable by the one or more processors to: during a stethoscope mode, obtain a first signal from the first microphone and a second signal from the second microphone, process the first signal to capture a physiological sound signal, including performing noise cancellation on the first signal based on the second signal, and transmit the physiological sound signal to an external computing device and/or a speaker of the stethoscope; and during a dictation mode, obtain the second signal from the second microphone, process the second signal to capture a voice signal, and transmit the voice signal to the external computing device.

Systems and methods for dictation with a digital stethoscope

The present description relates generally to methods and systems for wireless communication between a digital (e.g., electronic) stethoscope and other electronic devices (e.g., computing and listening devices). In one example, a method comprises operating an electronic stethoscope in one of an internal digital mode and a wireless digital mode based on a detected user action. In this way, the electronic stethoscope may be quickly adjusted between projecting sound via integrated speakers and transmitting sound to an external electronic device, enabling efficient remote monitoring of a patient.

Systems and methods for electronic stethoscope wireless auscultation

Various methods and systems are provided for monitoring a pulmonary artery pressure and cardiac synchronization of a subject. In one example, a method includes acquiring at least one of electrocardiogram (ECG) data, phonocardiogram (PCG) data, and seismocardiogram (SCG) data from a subject via a digital stethoscope, inputting one or more of the ECG data, the PCG data, and the SCG data into a machine learning algorithm, and estimating at least one of a pulmonary artery pressure and a cardiac synchronization of the subject using the machine learning algorithm. In this way, the pulmonary artery pressure and the cardiac synchronization may be estimated using artificial intelligence and inputs that are non-invasively measured by the digital stethoscope, allowing conditions like heart failure and pulmonary hypertension to be more simply and reliably detected and monitored.

Methods and systems for pulmonary artery pressure and cardiac synchronization monitoring

An electronic stethoscope device can be integrated into a conventional stethoscope to digitize auscultated sounds from the body of a patient. The device can be switched off so that the conventional stethoscope can be used as a standard stethoscope. When the device is switched on, the digitized auscultated sounds can be modified to remove the noise. Such modified sounds can be sent wirelessly from the electronic stethoscope device to a peripheral device that can receive such wireless signals, such as computer, cell phone, or cloud application, where the data can be viewed and manipulated further as desired.

Methods and systems are provided for real-time biological sensor data transmission and analysis. In one example, a method includes obtaining biological sensor data of a patient from one or more sensors of a health monitoring device and transmitting the biological sensor data in real-time from a patient's transmitting device to a clinician's remote receiving device that is wirelessly communicating with the transmitting device. Further, at the transmitting device, responsive to a request for analysis and/or storage from the remote receiving device, transmitting the real-time biological sensor data stream or a recording of the real-time biological sensor data to a computing sever for analysis and/or storage.

Electronic stethoscope device

A wireless cardiac sensor is provided. The sensor may be utilized by a patient, on themselves, in an at home or other non-clinical environment. A sensor housing contains ECG electrodes and an audio transducer to simultaneously capture heart sound and ECG data with a single device. The ECG electrodes may be positioned on opposite sides of, and preferably adjacent to, an audio transducer sensor, for placement against a user's chest. The wireless cardiac sensor may include a button on a surface opposite the ECG electrodes and audio sensor, facilitating one-handed operation by a patient. The sensor transmits acquired data to a personal electronic device, such as a smartphone, via a wireless communication link. The personal electronic device may in turn transmit data to a centralized server and/or health care provider devices, via a wide area network.

Methods and apparatuses for wireless communication between medical devices are provided. In some embodiments, commodity low power, low bandwidth communication protocols may be utilized to simultaneously convey multiple signals with high fidelity and reliability. For example, cardiac sound data and ECG data may be compressed using a common ADPCM component and inserted into a common BLE packet structure. Command-control data may also be inserted. Where required command-control data reporting frequency is less than the packet frequency, header bits may be utilized to convey multiple types of command-control data in a given packet byte position. Rolling packet sequence values may be inserted into the common packet structure, for use by receiving devices to identify link integrity failures.
