An infusion set check valve assembly includes a self-contained housing that defines inlet ports and an outlet port. The assembly also includes at least one check valve disposed within the self-contained housing between the outlet channel and at least one of the inlet ports. The at least one check valve is configured to open for a first fluid to flow from a first inlet to a patient line via an outlet channel while a second fluid also flows from a second inlet to the patient line via the outlet channel. The at least one check valve closes to prevent the first fluid from flowing to the patient line via the outlet channel while the second fluid flows to the patient line.

Check valve assembly

A check valve assembly is configured to couple to a first container that retains a first fluid and a second container that retains a second fluid. The check valve includes a fluid inlet housing including a first fluid inlet port defining a first fluid inlet channel, and a second fluid inlet port defining a second fluid inlet channel. A fluid outlet housing is coupled to the fluid inlet housing. The fluid outlet housing includes a fluid outlet port defining a fluid outlet channel. A first diaphragm is seated over the first fluid inlet channel. At least a portion of the first diaphragm is configured to unseat over the first fluid inlet channel to allow the first fluid to pass from the first fluid inlet channel into the fluid outlet channel. A second diaphragm is seated over the second fluid inlet channel. At least a portion of the second diaphragm is configured to unseat over the first fluid inlet channel to allow the second fluid to pass from the second fluid inlet channel into the fluid outlet channel.

A filter for blood or the like provides for concentric filtration tubes of flexible permeable filtration material held concentrically for flow in parallel through the filtration material of the filtration tubes. Manufacture of the filter may in-mold support rings and pillars to flexible filtration media, the lowermost support rings which may then be assembled together and fit into a filter housing.

A bidirectional valve for medical use or the like provides different threshold opening pressures in different directions using a valve seat and flapper construction providing improved characterization in operation in contrast to cross-slit valves often used for bidirectional operation. A valve disk supported in a central annular region provides movable portions engaging in valve seats at a peripheral region and a central region.

A check valve suitable for use with IV sets and the like provides an upstream filter preventing contamination from affecting the sealing of the check valve membrane. The filter may employ filter media that is integrally bonded to the housing of the filter providing simple and robust construction.

A nonreturn valve includes a first tube connection housing and a second tube connection housing and a diaphragm disk between the first and second tube connection housings. The disk can be lifted from an annular valve seat upon an overpressure in an inlet channel and can be pressed onto the valve seat upon an overpressure in an outlet channel. The diaphragm disk has an annular bead received in mutually opposite annular grooves of the tube connection housings. The diaphragm disk is provided, radially outside the valve seat, with openings leading to an outlet chamber. The second tube connection housing lying opposite the openings is provided with recesses which communicate with the outlet channel and are separated from each other by supporting surfaces for the diaphragm disc. The recesses are connected to the outlet channel by narrow deep grooves.

Non-return valve, in particular for medical uses

A check valve in particular for medical applications has a first hose connecting casing and a second hose connecting casing and a membrane disk configured between the two hose connecting casings. The membrane disk is made of a resilient material and cooperates with an annular valve seat. The membrane disk is fitted radially outside the valve's seat with apertures leading to a discharge space. The wall of the second hose connecting casing is opposite the apertures and fitted with a surface curved away from the membrane toward the discharge channel. The discharge channel is fitted with an intake mouth in the wall, and conically tapers within a transition segment toward the intake mouth. Recesses communicating with the discharge space are fitted into the transition segment and are dimensioned in a way to substantially compensate the different flow cross-sections between the intake mouth and the discharge channel.

Check valve

A check valve is provided, including a first hose connector housing defining an entry passage extending into an entry space at least partially defined by an annular valve seat, a second hose connector housing coupled with the first hose connector housing and defining an exit passage, and a generally flexible perforated membrane disk positioned between the first and second hose connector housings such that the membrane disk selectively engages the valve seat.
