Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for associating a gateway device as a backup for another gateway device based on the communication characteristics of the gateways. The communication characteristics of the gateways may indicate that the gateways available are suitable backups of each other in the event that one of the gateways becomes inoperable or has an excessive workload. The associations between the gateways may be further based on the network channels used by the gateways for communications.

A computing capability associated with a computing device can be compared to capability requirement associated with a computing task. In the case that a computing capability associated with a first computing device does not satisfy the capability requirement, an alternate computing device can be designated to execute the computing task.

Systems and methods are described for managing access control. An example method may comprise receiving an address associated with a user device. An identifier may be determined based on the address. Based on the identifier, the user device may be determined to be associated with a trusted user. Based on the determination that the user device is associated with the trusted user, the user device may be granted access to a trusted network service.

Systems and methods are disclosed that enable predictive device mobility session management in a wireless network. A wireless communications network is able to maintain IP session continuity as a wireless device roams among wireless access points of the communications network by ensuring that the wireless device maintains communications with its home wireless access gateway.

Predictive client mobility session management

Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for optimizing user content consuming experience by recognizing and classifying different sounds while a user views a program. The system may have or may access information related to the program audio being presented, enabling it to distinguish between conversations occurring in the program audio and conversations between users in the viewing environment. The system may turn the program volume down on one or more sound producing devices if it detects a conversation. The system may turn the program volume up if it detects an interrupting noise. The system may also adjust the program content based on locations of various objects within the listening or viewing environment, and types of users in the environment.

Systems and methods for determining the health score of a Wi-Fi radio are described. Data associated with the Wi-Fi radio and/or an access point encapsulating the Wi-Fi radio may be received. Various parameters related to the Wi-Fi radio and/or an access point encapsulating the Wi-Fi radio may be determined. Weights may be assigned to the parameters, and the health score may be calculated using the weighted parameters. Default values may be assigned to the parameters if the initial determination of the parameter is below a minimal value. Configuration parameters related to the Wi-Fi radio, the access point, or neighboring access points may be transmitted based on the calculated health score.
