Golf ball package

A tray for holding golf balls is provided. The tray preferably contains three compartments, and each compartment is sized to hold a single golf ball. The balls are snap-fitted into the compartments and secured in place. The tray containing the balls can be inserted into a small box (sleeve) which then can be loaded into a larger packaging box. The sleeve and window preferably contain transparent windows that are aligned with each other. The outer surface of the balls can be printed with a logo, brand, or other marking that can be seen through transparent windows in the sleeve and packaging box. The packaging system protects the golf balls during shipment as well as providing a creative and attractive way for displaying the golf balls for sale at on-course and off-course facilities.

The present invention is directed to golf equipment packages using a coating that gives a color traveling effect. The color traveling coating can be applied to golf equipments such as golf balls, golf gloves and golf clubs, and to golf equipment display. In addition, because the coating reflects ultraviolet light, it can be coated on golf balls and golf clubs to prevent discoloration under ultraviolet light.

The present invention is directed to a scratch-resistant composition for golf equipment comprising at least one polysiloxane having at least one functional group, at least one reactant having a functional group that is reactive to the at least one functional group of the at least one polysiloxane, and a plurality of particles further comprising inorganic, organic and composite particles, wherein the composition shows an improvement in scratch resistance. The present invention is also directed to golf equipment such as golf ball coated with the scratch-resistant composition. The present is also directed to methods of coating golf equipment with the scratch-resistant composition.
