A current configuration of one or more data management services is monitored. It is determined that the current configuration is insufficient to achieve a data protection intent indicated by a specification of the data protection intent. In response to determining that the current configuration is insufficient to achieve the data protection intent indicated by the specification of the data protection intent, the current configuration of the one or more data management services is modified in a manner to achieve the data protection intent indicated by the specification of the data protection intent.

Automatically implementing a specification of a data protection intent

One or more event logs are received. The one or more event logs are analyzed using a plurality of models to detect one or more anomalous events. A graphical representation of risk entities associated with at least one of the one or more detected anomalous events is provided. A visual representation of automatically detected relationships between the risk entities associated with the at least one of the one or more detected anomalous events is provided in the graphical representation. Indications of measures of anomaly associated with detected anomalous events are provided for the associated risk entities.

Providing a graphical representation of anomalous events

Configurations for a plurality of different data management services are automatically determined in an attempt to achieve the specified data protection intent. The determined configurations in the plurality of different data management services are automatically implemented.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for providing, in a network storage system, a topology set to a storage administrator for selection of a topology to implement a new protection policy for a dataset. A topology includes a mapping between storage objects participating to effectuate an existing protection policy and storage objects participating to effectuate the new protection policy. When a storage administrator selects a new protection policy, a storage manager automatically generates a number of topology options including a storage object participating in the existing protection policy. According to a priority rule, the storage manager determines the priority of the topologies by computing a priority indicator for each of the topologies. In certain embodiments, the topology set is displayed to a storage administrator including the priority indicator for each topology for informing the storage administrator the relative preference of each topology. The storage administrator thereby selects a topology for configuring storage objects to participate in effectuating the new protection policy.

Method and system for changing a protection policy for a dataset in a network storage system

Example embodiments provide various techniques for creating a test bed for testing failover and failback operations. In an example, data is stored on a primary storage system, while a backup copy of the data is stored on a secondary storage system. A test bed may be created by replicating the data on the primary storage system and replicating the backup copy on the secondary storage system. The replicated copies of the data and the backup copy, as well as a process used to backup the data, comprise the test bed, which may be used to test the failover and failback operations.

Methods and apparatuses for evaluation of visual stimuli using existing viewing data. An embodiment of a method includes storing viewing data relating to the viewing of visual stimuli. In addition, parameters relating to the stored viewing data are stored. A first visual stimulus for analysis is received. In order to analyze the first visual stimulus, the target parameters for the first visual stimulus are matched with the parameters for the stored viewing data. If there is a sufficient match between the target parameters with the parameters for the stored viewing data, data to represent the first visual stimulus is generated based at least in part on the stored viewing data.
