A liquid filtration system includes a sump screen, a filter, and a cap. The sump screen mounts to a tub bottom wall and includes a plate and a filter aperture edge mounted through the plate. The plate includes a sump mesh having a sump mesh size of less than approximately 0.1 inches. The filter mounts to the filter aperture edge and includes a sidewall and a plurality of posts mounted to extend up from the sidewall. The sidewall includes a filter mesh having a filter mesh size of less than approximately 0.1 inches. At least a portion of each post extends above the filter aperture edge when the filter is mounted to the filter aperture edge. The cap mounts above the plurality of posts. The plurality of posts and the cap form a conduit sized to allow material that cannot pass through the sump mesh to flow through the conduit.

Dishwasher filtration system

A docking system includes basket and wall conduit systems. The basket conduit system includes a conduit and first and second nozzles mounted to opposite ends of the conduit. The second nozzle has a first funnel shape with a first circumference that decreases from an open end of the second nozzle towards the conduit. The wall conduit system includes front and back housings, a sliding plate, and a third nozzle. A sliding aperture is formed through a front plate of the front housing. A nozzle aperture is formed through a back plate of the back housing. The sliding plate slides within a space formed by the front housing and the back housing. The third nozzle is sized and shaped to slide within the sliding aperture and includes a generally cylindrical shape and a second funnel shape with a second circumference that decreases from the sliding plate towards the generally cylindrical shape.

A door includes a first door assembly, a second door assembly mounted to the first door assembly, a left hinge, and a right hinge. The first door assembly includes a first panel, a first brace, and a plurality of tabs that extend from the first brace. The second door assembly includes a second panel, a second brace, and a plurality of slots formed in the second brace. The first brace is mounted between a left side flange of the first panel assembly and a right side flange of the first panel assembly. The second brace is mounted between a left side flange of the second panel assembly and a right side flange of the second panel assembly. The plurality of tabs are configured to align with and to slide down into respective ones of the plurality of slots to mount the first door assembly to the second door assembly.

A door balancing system includes an adjustment block, a single adjustment screw, a first pulley system, and a second pulley system. The adjustment block includes a threaded orifice and mounts within a bearing housing that includes a bearing surface. The single adjustment screw threads into the threaded orifice and abuts the bearing surface. The first pulley system includes a first pulley, a first cable, and a first spring. The second pulley system includes a second pulley, a second cable, and a second spring. The first cable mounts between a first hinge and the adjustment block using the first pulley and the first spring. The second cable mounts between a second hinge and the adjustment block using the second pulley and the second spring. The first spring and the second spring exert a force on the door to control a rate of movement of the door relative to the body.

A dishwasher includes a tub formed by a plurality of walls defining an interior and an exterior, a first conduit coupled to the tub, a valve coupled to the first conduit, a rack moveable between an engaged horizontal position and a disengaged horizontal position and between an upper vertical position and a lower vertical position, and a second conduit coupled to the rack. A first portion of the second conduit engages the valve when the rack is in the upper vertical position, and a second portion of the second conduit engages the valve when the rack is in the lower vertical position. The valve permits fluid to flow from the first conduit to the second conduit when the rack is in the engaged horizontal position. The valve does not permit fluid to flow from the first conduit to the interior when the rack is in the disengaged horizontal position.
