A mobile device and a method for providing security to a mobile device having two or more communication domains is provided. The mobile device receives a communication service request. The communication domain of the communication service request is determined, the request domain being one of the two or more communication domains of the mobile device. A set of applicable restrictions is then determined from a list of communication restrictions comprising restrictions on use of services of the mobile device for each of the two or more communications domains. These applicable restrictions are then applied to the communication service request by the mobile device.

System and method for security on a mobile device using multiple communication domains

An example aspect includes a mobile device that can perform a method where a conference call schedule is kept in a calendaring application, which is made to reference a temporary entry in a contact manager, which tracks access information, such as a dial-in number, an authentication code, and descriptive information for the call, such as a name for the call. The access information from the temporary contact entry is used to establish the call, and the descriptive information from the contact entry is outputted, such as through a display. An entry in a log can be created for the call using the descriptive information from the temporary contact entry. The temporary contact entry can be maintained if the conference call is to be repeated, or else it can be deleted. Such devices and methods provide an enhanced user experience for conference calls, by providing logging and display of more descriptive information about the calls.

System and method for enhanced call information display during teleconferences

A system and method for providing identifying information about the source of an incoming communication to a mobile device is provided. An incoming communication is received by an enterprise network and a connection is established to the mobile device. A DTMF message is sent to the mobile device by the enterprise network. If the source of the incoming communication has an enterprise-assigned number then the DTMF message comprises an identifying key corresponding to the key field of a profile list comprising enterprise-assigned numbers and an identifying information entry for each enterprise-assigned number in the list. If the source of the incoming communication does not have an enterprise-assigned number, the DTMF message comprises an identifying number for the source of the incoming communication. If DTMF is not available on the mobile device, similar logic may be employed using, for example, ANI manipulation.

System and method for providing identifying information to a mobile device

Aspects relate to initiating voice calls to mobile devices from an enterprise network. In one example, a server can initiate a voice channel to a mobile device, and if the mobile device cannot be reached, an access network may redirect the call from the server to a number identified as a voicemail number; however, such number is reconfigured to instead be directed to a number located within the enterprise network. The server can monitor or receive an indication that a call is incoming, and attributable to the mobile device. If such a call is incoming or received, then the server determines that the call has failed. If the mobile device answers the call, the server can determine that the voice channel has been established, without waiting for a confirmation indication, such as a DTMF tone.

System and method to detect PBX-mobility call failure

A call destination mapping method executes on a mobile communication device. The mobile communication device requests a call action within the device for a first call destination number of a call destination, maps the first call destination number to a second call destination number in accordance with one or more call destination mapping rules stored on the device, and replaces the first call destination number in the call action with the second call destination number.

Mobile devices are authorized to access PBX-based voice services through presentation of audible tones on a voice channel, which are determined based on a code received over a separate data channel. The device can request a code over a data channel from a server in communication with the PBX. The server provides data representative of the code over the data channel to the device, and arranges for local storage of the code. The device makes a connection with the PBX over a separate voice channel. The mobile device presents the received code as a sequence of audio tones (e.g., DTMF tones). The audio tones are used to generate data that can be compared with stored codes by an authentication module. The authorization module can indicate to the PBX that the code is valid; services can be provided by the PBX in response. The valid codes can be maintained, such as by removing used codes from code storage.

Authentication of mobile devices over voice channels

An enterprise communication system adapted for establishing secure wireless communication sessions, the system comprising: an enterprise platform adapted for establishing communications sessions with one or more wireless devices, and for transmitting signals to and receiving signals from the one or more wireless devices; an platform-side automatic synchronized random key generator associated with the enterprise platform for generating platform-generated synchronized random keys; the enterprise platform being adapted to: receive one or more signals representing a request to establish a communication session between the enterprise platform and at least one wireless device; receive a device-generated synchronized random key from the at least one wireless device; compare the device-generated synchronized random key to a platform-generated synchronized random key synchronized to the device-generated synchronized random key; and based on the comparison, output a signal representing a response to authorize or prohibit establishment of the communication session.

System and method for establishing a secure communication link

A mobile device and a method of displaying information regarding an incoming communication to a user of a mobile device are provided. The mobile device receives the incoming information and associated information from, for example, an enterprise network. The communication type of the incoming communication is determined using the associated information and information relating to the communication type is displayed on a display of the mobile device.

System and method for intelligent call identification on a mobile communication device

A method and device are provided for preventing unintended activation of one or more hard keys on a mobile device. A capacitive sensor senses a capacitance level at a location on the keyboard, to detect whether a hard key is being actuated by a human hand or human skin. If the sensed capacitance level exceeds a key activation capacitance threshold, a key circuit connection is identified as being associated with an intended hard key activation. If the measured capacitance level is within an uncertainty tolerance below the key activation capacitance threshold, a secondary capacitance level is measured at a non-keyboard location. The key circuit connection is identified as being associated with an intended hard key activation when the measured secondary capacitance level exceeds a key activation confirmation threshold. Additional secondary indicators can be obtained based on size and shape capacitance pattern, timing information, and an active application or device state.

Detection of intended key activation on a mobile device

A system and method for, on a mobile device having a plurality of communication lines on which outgoing calls may be made, providing a user interface for selecting a calling card to be used in making an outgoing call to a desired phone number. The method includes: associating each calling card in a set of at least one calling card with a communication line; and displaying on a display of the mobile device a line selection menu containing a plurality of card/line identifiers; wherein each card/line identifier is configured to uniquely identify a corresponding associated calling card and communication line combination.
