A downhole flow control device and associated method, wherein the downhole flow device is configured for use with a tubing string, the downhole flow device including a flow path configured to permit flow between external and internal locations of a tubing string; a barrier member configured to selectively vary the flow path; and a receiver configured to receive a control signal to permit control of the barrier member. Beneficially, the downhole flow device may be at least partially operable by fluid or fluid pressure from the tubing string or wellbore. Corresponding fracking valve assemblies, completion assemblies, inflow control device and hydraulic distribution modules may be provided.

Downhole flow control device and method

A retrievable packer device for use in a wellbore includes first and second end rings configured to be mounted on a base member and a deformable sleeve extending from the first end ring to the second end ring and configured to extend around the base member. A swellable sleeve is mounted on the deformable sleeve.

A downhole seal system comprising at least one a deformable member; and at least one expandable seal; wherein the deformable member is provided proximate, adjacent, against, or fixed to the expandable seal. Optionally, the expandable seal is or comprises a swellable seal and/or the deformable member comprises or at least partially defines a seal receiving groove and at least part of the expandable seal is received or receivable within the seal receiving groove such that the expandable seal is expandable so as to deform the deformable member and thereby increase an outer diameter or extent of the deformable member.
