A method to authorize a mobile payment for a transaction. The method includes receiving a facial image of a consumer who requests the mobile payment for the transaction using account information stored in a mobile device of the consumer, wherein the facial image is provided by a point-of-sale (POS) device while initiating the transaction on behalf of the consumer, receiving a verified facial image of an account holder, comparing the facial image of the consumer and the verified facial image of the account holder based on a pre-determined criterion to verify the consumer as the account holder, generating, in response to verifying the consumer as the account holder, an authorization of the mobile payment based on the account information, and sending the authorization to the POS device to complete the transaction.

A request is received to access protected data from a data access requesting party. Authentication text to be read aloud is then generated and transferred to a first computing system associated with the data access requesting party. The authentication text is then displayed on the first computing system. The access requesting party is then requested to read the authentication text aloud and first audio data is obtained from a first audio detection capability associated with the first computing system and second audio data is obtained from a second audio detection capability associated with a second computing system associated with a data access requesting party. The authentication text is then compared to the first audio data and the second audio data and, if the data matches, the data requesting party is provided access to the protected data.

Method and system for voice match based data access authorization

In response to a user instruction, an electronic device contacts a representative associated with a software application (such as customer support or sales) using a telephone number of the representative. In addition, the electronic device provides an identifier via a telephone connection with the representative to specify the information about the user known to a provider of the software application to allow the representative to access the information. For example, the identifier may include a numerical value (such as an extension), and providing the identifier may involve appending the numerical value to the telephone number prior to the establishment of the telephone connection with the representative. Alternatively or additionally, the identifier may be provided after the telephone connection is established with the representative.

Systems, methods and articles for automating the process of registering a product purchased by a consumer from a merchant in a purchase transaction. Product data including product identification data is obtained from a merchant electronic point of sale system as the consumer checks out. The product data is then automatically transmitted to a product registration system, such as via a consumer's mobile communication device having a product registration app. An auto-registration database is accessed to see if auto-registration is available for the product. If auto-registration is available for the product, then a request is made to the consumer to authorize auto-registration for the product. If the consumer accepts the auto-registration, then consumer data, such as the consumer name and contact information, is sent to the product registration system. The product registration system then creates a product registration record using the product data and the consumer data.

Methods and systems for automated product registration

The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that corrects user-interface shift errors. During operation of the system, a user provides an input through a user interface. In response, the system compares the input to a pre-determined set of phrases associated with user-interface errors. In particular, the user-interface errors may include shift errors in a position of a finger or a hand of the user relative to the user interface. Based on the comparisons, the system identifies a correct input, thereby facilitating correction of the shift error that occurred when the user provided the input through the user interface. Next, the system provides feedback to the user. For example, the feedback may correct the received input or may provide a suggestion to the user that includes the suggested correct input.

A method for distributing a location aware mobile coupon (LAMC) based on a current location of a consumer using a mobile device. The method includes: receiving the current location of the mobile device from a location aware service (LAS) provider; comparing the current location of the mobile device to a retail location of a merchant to determine that the consumer is in proximity to the retail location of the merchant; obtaining pre-generated LAMC terms of the merchant specifying a maximum price discount of an item offered by the merchant; determining, in response to determining that the consumer is in proximity to the retail location, a price discount of the LAMC using a pre-determined formula based on the maximum price discount and a distance of the consumer to the retail location; and sending the LAMC including the price discount to the mobile device used by the consumer.

Generating the textual based document includes, for each action performed by the assisting user using the application, detecting the action, identifying an action identifier uniquely identifying the action, and storing a step that includes the action identifier in the textual based document. The method further includes receiving a help request from a perplexed user, obtaining the textual based document matching the help request, generating the support video from the textual based document. Generating the support video includes, for each step in the textual based document, obtaining the action identifier from the step in the textual based document, identifying an action for the perplexed user mapped to the action identifier, and rendering the action for the perplexed user into the support video. The method further includes presenting the support video to the perplexed user.

A method and system for obtaining review and rating updates within a review and rating system whereby a review and rating system is provided and a given review or rating associated with a given business, service, product, or other content is submitted to the review and rating system. Contact information associated with the user submitting the given review or rating is also obtained and then upon the occurrence of one or more events, the user submitting the original review or rating is contacted and asked to update the original review or rating and/or to provide additional data. Once the user's update to the original review or rating, and/or any additional data, is/are obtained, the given review or rating is transformed to reflect the update to the original review or rating, and/or any additional data.

Method and system for obtaining review updates within a review and rating system

The present invention is a method, system, and computer program that provides secure network communication over a network between a first and a second entity wherein data packets are encrypted and transmitted according to previously exchanged encryption command information and wherein TCP accelerators may be used to effectively accelerate the transmission of the data packets. A method, system, and computer program are also shown that provide secure network communication through encrypting a plurality of payloads and embedding encryption command information for each encrypted payload into an options field of a corresponding protocol header while still allowing TCP accelerators to read the protocol headers and effectively accelerate the transmission of the payloads.
