An elevator roller guide assembly that provides enhanced ride comfort. The assembly includes a chassis, a stop plate mounted to the chassis, a face wheel enclosure that at least partially encloses the face wheel and is connected to a plurality of leaf springs, and a pair of side wheel enclosures connected to the face wheel enclosure by the plurality of leaf springs. The side wheel enclosures each support a side wheel in a fixed relation to the other side wheel. The side wheel enclosures are operably connected to the stop plate by a pair of vertical plates. A multi-axis damper extends from the stop plate to engage the face wheel enclosure and dampen oscillation of the wheel enclosures during operation. A set of delta diameter wheels across all four guides reduces coincident flat spots to improve ride quality. Also, a wheel force gauge is integrated with the face wheel enclosure.

A test head assembly for supporting at least a portion of a protective mask to be tested for leaks. Preferably, the test head assembly includes a test head having a test space that is generally coextensive with an inner surface of the protective mask being tested. Although the test space is generally coextensive with the inner surface of the protective mask being tested, it is designed such that it has minimal volume to enhance the testing process by expediting test response time, reducing the time period it takes for a mask tester to reach one or more prerequisite test conditions, eliminate or greatly reduce lag time when the mask tester is operating in the probe mode and prevent dilution of challenge concentration. Preferably, the test head is formed from two or more removable sections to allow the size of the test head to be readily modified.

Test head assembly for use in testing protective masks

A phototherapy light device for directing light onto an infant. The phototherapy light device has a base containing an illumination source and a gooseneck type of elongated neck that extends outwardly from the base and has a distal end adapted to be positioned to direct the light onto the infant. An optical fiber transmits the light from the illumination source to the distal end through the optical fiber where the light is passed through a light emanating device located at the distal end of the elongated neck. The elongated neck has two flexible sections, one of which has two coaxial springs to provide flexibility in positioning as well as to impart sufficient strength and rigidity to the elongated neck. The dual spring concept provides a system having reduced stresses while creating a double fault structural system without compromising the flexibility of the elongated neck.

An apparatus for testing a protective mask. The apparatus includes a testing unit for testing a protective mask. The testing unit includes a headform upon which a protective mask to be tested is mounted. The testing unit is configured to take a sample of the challenge from two different locations about the protective mask. The testing unit may also be configured to inflate and deflate a neck seal protective mask when mounted on the headform prior to performing a mask leakage test to eliminate or significantly reduce pockets or folds that may hide a leak.

Portable multi-function system for testing protective devices

The preferred form of the present invention is directed to systems and methods used to test objects including but not limited to filters, respirator cartridges and filter media. The object to be tested is subjected to an aerosol challenge while the penetration percentage and resistance at a given flow are monitored to ensure that the object will function as desired. Preferably, the test object is challenged with a salt aerosol. However, any suitable aerosol may be used. A replenishment member is provided for automatically and continuously replenishing the reservoir of an aerosol generator. The replenishment member is configured such that there is no need for an operator to monitor the liquid level in the aerosol generator reservoir either during replenishment or at anytime while the apparatus is operated. The replenishment member of the preferred form of the present invention does not require interruption of the filter testing process to replenish the aerosol generator reservoir. The preferred form of the present invention supplies heated air to the aerosol generator reservoir to significantly reduce the liquid needed to be collected in the drip jar of the impactor. This feature prolongs the run time of the test system. A control device is operably associated with the heater to activate and deactivate the heater depending upon detection of pressurized gas supplied to the aerosol generator. This feature prevents the heater from irreparably damaging the test unit and/or the surrounding environment.
