A cover assembly for a drain comprises a saucer-shaped cover body having a first side configured to face toward a drain opening in a surface and a second side configured to face away from the drain opening. The cover body defines a plurality of flow passages extending between the first side and the second side so as to allow a liquid to pass through the cover body to the drain opening. At least a portion of the second side of the cover body may have a corrugated configuration formed by adjacent grooves and ridges, the grooves and ridges cooperating to facilitate reduction in blockage of the flow passages by debris on the second side of the cover body.

A sash latch for engagement with a side jamb of a window includes an upper member with a spring cavity and a stop wall, a forward slot for engagement with an upper surface of a sash and a latch extension. The latch extension includes a substantially planar surface and an inclined planar surface extending at an acute angle relative to the substantially planar surface. The inclined planar surface includes a notch at a proximal end thereof, wherein the notch receives an edge of a wall of the side jamb when a heavy wind load is applied to an outer facing surface of the sash to restrain the sash relative to the side jamb.

A connection system comprising an anchor connected to the window frame, a meeting rail having ends that may be snap fit to the anchor, and a single screw to tighten and true-up the connection once it is installed in the anchor. The connection system allows the meeting rail to be removed and replace from inside the building. In an alternative embodiment the disclosure details a kit for detachably securing a meeting rail to a frame jamb. The kit comprises separate anchors that are removably secured to the first and second side of the jamb frame and a profiled pin for insertion into the anchor for securing the meeting rail to the anchor and upon manual rotation of the pin the meeting rail and frame jambs are secured together.

A sash latch for retractable engagement with a side jamb of a window includes a lower member, which is fixed to a sash of the window, and an upper member with an extension. The upper member and extension slide relative to the lower member so that the extension can extend beyond the sash and can retract into the sash. In use, the extension extends beyond the sash and into the side jamb. A planar surface of the extension locks the sash to the side jamb. The extension also has a notch located opposite the planar surface. The notch prevents the extension from retracting into the sash when a heavy wind load is placed on the sash. Advantageously, this inhibits the sash from swinging dangerously inward under such a condition and reduces the possibility of damage or death.

Disclosed is an operating-fixed-operating window with a common frame. The window frame includes a sill with a sill lock and sill tower upwardly extending from the sill. The window frame also includes a head disposed atop the window frame, at least one jamb and at least one operating window frame. The window also includes at least one fixed window frame with a sill cover disposed atop the sill, the sill cover engaged with the sill lock and the sill tower.

A quick release clip for securing a screen in position in a frame, the clip comprising a main clip body, a first leg extending outwardly from the main clip body and bent relative to a plane of the main body, the first leg for receipt into a groove of the frame. In addition, the quick release clip includes a contact edge, the main clip body opposite the first leg terminating in the contact edge wherein the contact edge is disposed adjacent an edge of the screen applying a force to maintain the screen in position.

A mullion system includes a universal reinforcement key, that joins window frame members and when anchored in a window frame opening or against other window frame joining members, contributes to bearing the load on the window frame unit. The system also includes a mull strip member with end caps designed to weep moisture away from and out of the window frame unit.

A simple and positive drill steel retainer comprises a retainer and a latch. The retainer cannot be opened until the latch is disengaged. The latch is held in the engaged position by a spring. The retainer and latch can be easily operated with one hand.
